Lower Back Pain – Lesson 4 🤍
Low Lunge / Anjaneyasana

Low Lunge is a powerful yet gentle posture to support the lower back, hips and pelvis when practised with awareness and alignment.

✨ Benefits:
• Releases tension in the hip flexors & psoas
• Supports lower back relief
• Improves pelvic alignment & stability
• Opens the front of the body
• Strengthens legs and supports the spine

✨ How to practise safely:
• Front ankle aligned with the knee
• Pelvis facing forward (no twisting)
• Gently move forward and back to loosen the stretch
• When ready, soften deeper — never force
• Support the back knee with a low cushion or blanket
• Stay on each side for at least 1 minute , go lower on your elbows for a deeper stretch
• Always finish with a Child’s Pose to release the spine

Lower back pain doesn’t always need force —
sometimes it needs gentle movement and awareness 🤍

In Lesson 3, we use Cat–Cow to softly mobilise the spine, release tension, and reconnect breath with movement.

✨ Alignment matters
• Wrists aligned under shoulders
• Knees aligned under hips
• Move slowly, guided by the breath

✨ Benefits
• Releases stiffness in the lower back
• Improves spinal mobility
• Calms the nervous system
• Encourages mindful movement without strain

If the body feels tired or overwhelmed,
rest in Child’s Pose, breathe… and begin again.
