Our lovely Compass Be colleagues Kirsty and Emma have had a great time visiting Base 71 today, attending an event to mark International Women's Day. The event was organised by the BYouth service and Emma and Kirsty both enjoyed meeting lots of students from Secondary Schools in Barnsley. They asked the students "what do you feel impacts your mental health in both positive and negative ways?" and loved hearing all their ideas and talking to them about how we can support them in school. Happy weekend everyone 💜

Happy World Book day!📚
We're incredibly lucky to have a published author in our midst - our very own Emma!
She has been busy visiting local schools, hosting story time sessions with Year 1 pupils. Emma has been sharing her wonderful book "The Sun Can't Shine Everyday" and recently donated a complimentary copy to every school 🌞☁️

We can’t wait for our first Family Day on Saturday 14th March!

It’s the perfect opportunity for our members to show their families what Base71 has to offer. We’ll have loads of fun activities for everyone to enjoy, including arts, crafts and music, as well as cookery, sports and games.

There’s no need to book – just come along between 10am and 1pm.

Please note: For safeguarding reasons, all children must be accompanied by an adult. Adults without children will not be admitted to the building.

Practitioner Kirsty has been at Base71 Youth Zone tonight for their senior session. It's been great to see some familiar faces! From bullying role play scenarios, support conversations, social media discussions and games of balloon tennis..it's been a great evening.
