Our residents coming together in group activities🥊⚽️🎯🎳,as always a great session with Grassroots Sports Academy Yorkshire 👏, and another firm favourite is bingo too, and equally a great activity to keep the mind stimulated,our Joyce receiving a lovely visit from her daughter and son in-law, and just thought i would also share this amazing free hand sketch that our work collegue Ruby and also Barnsley College placement student that she completed while sitting keeping our betty and joan company in our colouring corner, how talented🙂

What a lovely delivery we received from Pen*stone knitting group this week, of knitted/crochet items including blankets,shawls,hand warmers,scarfs,walking frame bags to name just a few,even including two memory dolls also wearing handmade knitted outfits, we are truly grateful of your amazing act of kindness🥰

We had the pleasure once again of welcoming St Helens Catholic Primary School back to our home to visit our residents, and how lucky once again for it to be year 3, oh what joy they brought🙂, our Michael was sitting in our reception area when our door bell rang, and when they all appeared his face was a picture, and he was certainly so happy to lead the way to our dining room where our residents were waiting, it as taken me a while to go through all my images as there so many lovely captures, however these are the ones I chose, what an amazing time we all had,
Thankyou once again for giving up your precious time to come see us,and also your lovely act of kindness with your gift of biscuits, forever grateful of these cherished memories we made, hope to see you again very soon🥰

Our moments captured are memories cherished❤️, our carer chantelle with a comforting chat with our resident Margaret, music requests from our chris only meant one thing🤔,we led the way to the floor to dance💃🕺, our chris introducing himself to our janet,our peter puckering up to his lovely wife charmers(judith),our Betty and joan.w with their harvest festival colouring,our julie showing me her winning prize she won from the coffee morning she attends with her sister Elaine, our maureen.s taking in the news and events📰, sheila working on her jigsaw, was lovely to have margo back from her holidays at our knit & natter class🙂, so lovely to see our john in our company downstairs for a little while, and our domestic diane making a complete fuss of him as always, sandra with her winning home raffle prize, she was absolutely delighted with the news,and lastly our brenda was equally delighted receiving her two reading books that she had requested after earlier showing her the best sellers that were on offer at our local Tesco📖

Well what a fabulous time we had again at the , being asked again is amazing, taking along our sheila and Barbara.c,along with our Barnsley College student lucy, on today's recipe agenda was chicken,leek and mushroom pie, that their head cook Lisa had chosen, using all fresh ingredients our residents made a start with support from their instore members of staff too, the recipe was again easy to follow with step by step guidance, the smell of them being baked was delightful, and even better, the actually tasted it too, both sheila and Barbara requested having some for their tea once back home, sheila asking our home cook Denise if she could have bread and butter with hers🙂, so pleased as it was a big thumbs up,
Thankyou once again to lisa and staff for being so caring and patient, we are so looking forward to next wks class already, and we are told we're making desert😋

So I have had my eyes on these beautiful Shetland pony's a while now, and how it would be amazing to invite them into our home, well yesterday it became reality, wow, what an experience,both our lovely residents and staff loved them🐴😍,
Rebecca brought along 2 out of 6 of their therapy pony's, the chocolate coloured was named William, and golden was caramel, how professional and very experience staff were,and so caring and compassionate towards our family, and they even went in out lift to our 2nd floor so we could visit our residents rooms upstairs, honestly,thi will most definitely be an activity to remember, and we are already looking forward to welcoming them back again one day🤔, A big big thankyou to Simply Shetlands, what a find you have been🙂

Just wanted to say a really big thankyou to attendants to our Alzheimer's Society coffee morning this week, we are so grateful for your baked purchases, Alzheimers awareness badges and simply really kind donations, all in support of our activities fund, our coffee mornings run for 1hr from 10.30-11.30am to run inline with our busy home schedules, i can announce we raised £205😮,also a big thankyou to our home cooks for your baked contributions,and our knit and natter volunteer for her parkin, thankyou from the bottom of my heart❤️
