I’m soon returning to work following maternity leave, and this has got me thinking about self-care around work in particular… 💭
🌱 How do you ensure you don’t get burnout from working too much, or taking on too much mentally or physically at work?
🌱 Do you make time for yourself outside work hours?
🌱 Do you exercise, socialise, spend time outdoors, have hobbies or interests you do in your spare time?
It’s so important that we do things just for us. We all have busy lives that may involve juggling work, children, home life, etc., but without looking after YOU, there will come a time where you’ll probably end up experiencing burnout.
If you’re feeling like you “don’t get a minute”, then it’s time to look at where you’re spending your time each day. Can things be delegated? Do all the jobs on your list really need doing? I’m a firm believer in that you have to prioritise yourself in order to keep all the other cogs in life turning effectively and keep you feeling well 🧠🪴🌻
