“Some people just need someone to believe in them. Could that be you?”
At Barlow Care Group, we’re not just a support service—we’re a movement. For over 32 years, we’ve been helping people with mental health diagnoses live independently, build confidence, and avoid the cycle of hospital readmission.
But here’s the thing—this work isn’t for everyone. It’s not easy. It’s not always pretty. It’s real, it’s raw, and it’s deeply human.
We need a Support Worker who is so much more than a “support worker.” Someone who:
• Listens, even when they’d rather talk.
• Shows compassion, even when frustration is in the air.
• Holds boundaries, even when tested.
• Sees potential, even when someone’s struggling to see it in themselves.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Building genuine, therapeutic relationships with people who’ve often been misunderstood.
• Supporting clients to live as independently as possible, making choices that build their confidence.
• Managing challenges with empathy and resilience—because change isn’t always easy.
• Encouraging people to develop life skills, find purpose, and reclaim control over their own journey.
• Being part of a team that laughs together, supports each other, and believes in what we do.
What You Bring
✅ A big heart & a strong backbone—Compassion and boundaries go hand in hand.
✅ Emotional intelligence—You’ll know when to push, when to step back, and when to just listen.
✅ Resilience—Some days will be tough. The right person knows that real progress is built over time.
✅ A sense of humor—Because sometimes, a little laughter makes all the difference.
✅ A commitment to growth—For yourself, for the people you support, and for the team around you.
What We Offer
💙 A chance to truly change lives—no exaggeration.
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 A family business that treats its team like family, too.
📚 Training & development—We invest in you as much as you invest in others.
📈 Career progression—If you want to grow, we’ll help you do it.
😄 A work environment where you’re supported, valued, and maybe even have a laugh along the way.
Join Us
We believe everyone deserves a chance—including you. If you want to be part of something meaningful, apply now. Because this is more than a job—it’s a purpose.
