🌍 What an incredible week in Istanbul!

After 5 amazing days exhibiting CHW_Empower — our World First Prisoner in-cell health and wellbeing platform, the World Prison Games, and our staff wellbeing platform, the CHW_Club — at the International Corrections and Prisons Association (ICPA) Conference 2025, we’re heading home inspired, grateful, and full of energy.

A huge thank you to everyone who took the time to visit our stand, connect with us, and learn more about our mission to support wellbeing across the justice sector.

This was our first time at ICPA, and we couldn’t have asked for a warmer welcome. The incredible ICPA Team, members, and fellow sponsors made us feel right at home.

We’ve made new friends, built meaningful global connections, enjoyed incredible Turkish food, explored the stunning sights of Istanbul — all while working hard (and sleeping very little!).

Here’s to collaboration, innovation, and wellbeing in corrections.

We can’t wait to see everyone again in Belfast 2026! 💪🏼

🌏 CHW_Empower Goes Global – Now in Australia! 🇦🇺

We are incredibly proud and beyond excited to announce a monumental milestone in our journey - CHW_Empower has officially launched in Australia, marking our first international expansion outside of the UK!

Australia’s largest prison - The Clarence Correctional Centre in New South Wales has become the first prison in Australia to implement CHW_Empower - the world’s first and only holistic, digital, in-cell health and wellbeing platform. This groundbreaking step not only reinforces our mission but also sets a new global benchmark in correctional health and rehabilitation.

This achievement is more than just a geographical expansion - it’s a testament to the power of belief, innovation, and purpose-driven work. We are deeply grateful to the visionary leaders and partners who have placed their trust in us to deliver meaningful change. Being described recently as “Global Best Practice” is an honour that fills us with immense pride and fuels our commitment even further.

As someone who began this journey as a PE Officer in the UK Prison Service, I could never have imagined that one day I’d be leading a company making a global impact. This moment is not just personal - it’s a celebration of what’s possible when passion meets purpose.

At CHW, our deep-rooted understanding of the prison environment, combined with our relentless drive for innovation and excellence, positions us at the forefront of transformative change in custodial care. We are not just delivering a product — we are redefining the future of rehabilitation and wellbeing.

🚨 Great day at HMP Ashfield with CHW 🚨

This week, Jonathan and Andy from CHW had the privilege of visiting HMP Ashfield – one of our valued partners – to run focus groups, hear direct feedback from prisoners and staff, and promote CHW_Empower, the world’s only in-cell health and wellbeing platform.

The insights were inspiring:

✅ Prisoners shared how CHW_Empower has helped them recover from ankle injuries, manage lower back pain, and improve their mental health through our meditation and yoga content.

✅ Many are now excited to start peer-led activities using the platform – especially the yoga programme.

✅ Healthcare staff told us they’re looking forward to signposting relevant CHW_Empower content as part of their everyday care and support to prisoners.

This is exactly why CHW_Empower exists — putting wellbeing and self-management tools directly into the hands of those who need them most.
