Water Royd Summer Fair 2025 🌞

What a fantastic day we had on Saturday at our annual Summer Fair. The people living at Water Royd, family members, staff and the local community all came together and made the day one to remember.

Thank you to all the stall holders who attended - Ian birds of prey 🦉, South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue 🚒 Lewis, as the best Elvis Presley 🕺, Porkys ice cream van 🍦and the delicious Toasty Kitchens 🍔!

Special thank you to all the staff who helped on the day, take a look at some of the wonderful memories we captured...

Please note that the raffle hasn't yet been drawn, it is in our main reception area if anyone would like to purchase a ticket, we will draw this at the end of next week. Thank you WRH 💙

What a lovely day we've had visiting Wentworth Garden Centre with Jon from Myley Tours.

We started our morning off by looking at all the beautiful flowers, plants and different types of fruit trees whilst taking in the wonderful views of the garden areas and More...Fresh Air.

Afterwards, we visited the shop and enjoyed a cuppa and some delicious cake in the cafe area, which those living with us really enjoyed. On the way out, we purchased a plant that was chosen by everyone, it looks beautiful at the front of our home!

Just look at the wonderful people living at Water Royd enjoying another fun packed week. Our weekly lifestyle programme covers a large variety of activities such as, coffee mornings, outings, live entertainment and so much more.

With one of our main aims being..."to have as much fun as possible!"

The brilliant Alan sang for everyone living at Water Royd, and we had the best afternoon with a great atmosphere.

Its always a pleasure when family and friends visit loved ones and join in on the fun, Brenda's friends certainly had a fantastic time and danced throughout the whole performance!

We have recently purchased some great new games for the people living with us here at Water Royd!

One of them being the bounce and shoot game. A simple activity that brought More...Movement, fun and competition to our sessions. Everyone had a great time.

On Friday, those living with us had a brilliant day celebrating Summer Solstice. We enjoyed More...Fresh Air outside in our garden, had the amazing Dominic and his band come in and play some great hits such as 'Here comes the Sun' by The Beatles, 'Walking on Sunshine' and many more that reflected the Summer Solstice celebrations.

The people living with us here at Water Royd had a fantastic time wearing flower garlands and bright fun sunglasses. We had a decorated hydration station where we served Pimm's, colourful cocktails and delicious fruit platters.

It was great to see some of our local community join in our celebrations too. Everyone had a wonderful time!

Today we went out on our first ever trip with Myley to the beautiful Cannon Hall.

We visited the farm and fed the animals, stopped for refreshments, then headed to the front of the country house to admire the views. We then had a wonder to the Pear Tree cafe and enjoyed drinks and ice creams, as the weather was absolutely glorious. We also purchased 2 plants from the flower stall for our flower beds at Water Royd.

The feedback from today was so positive, Brenda who lives at Water Royd said 'well i've really loved today, its been amazing'. Special thanks to our Tour Coordinator Jon who was a lovely gent. We can't wait our next Myley trip!

We were visited by the fabulous Amanda, who held an amazing sing a long session for everyone living at Water Royd!

We had the best time singing, dancing, waving our ribbons and enjoying More...Fresh Air, thank you for a great afternoon.
