We have had a great day today raising awareness for Breast cancer on wear it pink day . The Barnsley cancer champions had a stall in the market talking to lots of people . We was then joined by the Social prescribers and other volunteers doing a sponsored walk from Barnsley hospital to priory campus to raise money ❤️

Health Promotion Event at BHF Priory Centre 🩺

Join us on Thursday, 23rd October, to discover tips on maintaining a healthy lifestyle, preventing health conditions, and accessing free health screenings.

There will be interactive activities as well as blood pressure checks with 'How's Thi Ticker', body composition checks with Barnsley Community Trust, and free bike checks.

Me and Molly took part in being filmed today delivering sessions in the workplace . We attended Premier foods ( Lyon’s bakery) and Avient. We had x 2 sessions which were really successful and engaging with their workforce there . Huge success again ❤️Talked about all cancers and screening and early diagnosis.

Lovely to host Avril from The Carers service at our 2 practices today . Hillbrow and Rotherham Road. It would be nice if the other practices could follow and contact Avril to arrange as so beneficial for our unpaid carers and the benefits they can claim from the service. Can make a real difference to their lives ❤️

It Was lovely to be invited and celebrate with one of the care homes I support Deangate Care Home-Hill Care. Their inspection was rated Outstanding and they threw a huge celebration event to thank everyone .Super proud of all of them and the outstanding care they give to their residents. Well done all 👏👏👏

It’s a good opportunity to pop in and speak to the team, you may be able to get your breast screening done on the day if you’re due!

Today me and Emma are in Barnsley town centre for the family hubs festival. Promoting early detection and prevention of cancer and raising awareness of signs, symptoms and screenings🩷 lots of fun things going on we are here til 3pm!

Central One Stop Cancer Shop🩷 Over 350 people came and engaged with our event today!
20 cervical screenings thanks to our lovely nurse Terese Allison
9 breast screenings
6 stop smoke referrals and appointments booked
The rest of the services had over 90 conversations each on cancer awareness and prevention🥹
We couldn’t be prouder🫶🏼

One week today until our central One Stop Cancer Shop event in Barnsley town centre. Today I have been all over town dropping off posters and leaflets and took some pictures along the way at some of the places you may know!

We have the Mayor of Barnsley coming along and Barnsley Chronicle to take lots of pictures and reports. They will also be promoting it in this weeks paper😁🩷
