UK Government to introduce legislation to regulate and licence cosmetic procedures 📢

New protections announced intended to safeguard the public and restore trust in the sector:

• Only healthcare professionals will be allowed to perform the highest-risk procedures, including non-surgical Brazilian Butt Lifts (BBLs)
• Mandatory licensing for clinics offering Botulinum Toxin and Dermal Fillers – with strict standards for training, hygiene, and insurance
• Age restrictions to protect under-18s from social media-fuelled treatment trends
• Action on rogue operators whose botched work causes physical harm and adds cost to the NHS
• CQC regulation required for highest-risk treatments

Health Minister Karin Smyth MP says:
