Magic in Crystals

In honour of my brother Ian

Back in 1997 my brother was diagnosed with a brain tumour. We hadn’t spoken for 3 years as he had been medically retired with Osteoporosis from work where we both worked as train drivers.
I had already started my journey a healer and discovering the magic of CRYSTALS.
The surgeons operated but found they couldn’t remove the large tumour. This brought us together, and our journey together up until his death 10 months later, this gave him time to put his house in order as he was told they couldn’t give him how long he had left in this world.
I was in Rochester Kent one day and discovered a lovely crystal shop, I picked up an Amethyst crystal that fitted lovely between thumb and forefinger just right and knew that this was right for Ian.
When Ian got home, I visited him and gave him the crystal that I had already infused it with healing energies specifically for him. He kept it in his pocket to keep it close so that he could hold it whenever he felt the need.
We had really good results in that 10 months his tumour had started shrinking and he found that he could get up and downstairs with ease he was so happy.

MAGIC IN CRYSTALS

Ian and his wife renewed their wedding vows and spent more time at their caravan in between his radiotherapy and chemo sessions. He saw in his 50th birthday in the April of that year. He had great positivity in beating the cancer.
Sadly, in the October of that year he was in for Chemo treatment and broke his arm and it was discovered that the cancer was in his bones. He remained in hospital for the remainder of his life.
Ian took a turn for the worse and I was called to go visit him, I called our mum to let her know and she took a flight from Aberdeen to be with him at the end. We stayed overnight his heart was beating so strong and knew he was waiting for something but didn’t know what. Mum and I went home to sleep. I had a dream looking at a window full of crystals and the amethyst stood out. That was what he was waiting for.
We got up ready to back to hospital, I received a call from my lovely niece Nicola telling me her dad had passed continuing with a beautiful ending for IAN, Nicola had gone home to get Ian some clean Pjs etc she was held back for something, she looked in the top drawer and there was his crystal waiting to be taken to him. Nicola picked it up and on arrival at his bedside placed the crystal in his hand, Ian passed over within 10 mins of this happening. He was finally at peace.

I am a down to earth positive individual who is quite intuitive. I have been a Reiki Practitioner/Master since 1997.I started voluntary work in London as a Victim Support worker in South East London and that helped me on my own journey in dealing with trauma people suffer as well as in my own life. I did a 6-month basic counselling course in Llanelli South Wales in 2000, which helped me in many ways. My life in London as a train driver/ station staff on docklands railway brought me in contact with many situations that gave me a greater understanding compassion and empathy, having dealt with potential su***de, the aftermath of death how it affects and effects that it has on people’s lives. I worked as a telephone helpline worker for R**e Crisis for 4 years, I suffered meningitis and a stroke and In my recovery I was able to give back to society support that was needed . My work involved children and adults. I have Level 3 in Health and Social Care and have had experience with adults with learning difficulties, Autism, Asperger’s, mental health issues, diabetes, anxiety, confidence and self-esteem difficulties and have done end of life care in a nursing home as well as working on the EMI dept with dementia and Alzheimer’s, elderly clients with complex needs .

My main interests are Complementary Therapies, Spirit Photography , using my photos for meditation, travelling when I can ,writing poetry when the mood takes me, love music all genres also writing scripts for Hypnotherapy uses .My dogs Minty , Sophia and Cockatoo JJ all keep me on my toes. My interest for Hypnotherapy has been with me a long time and my granddaughter ‘s death in 2013 pushed me on to become a Hypnotherapist.
