Hi. I'm Hannah. I'm 26 years old. I love crystals, running my small business, walking and coffee.
I also have cystic Fibrosis, liver disease, pancreatic insufficiency and other cf related issues.

Here you can see just my night time tablets. (Night only)
I have to have a lot of medication to help with the effects cf has on my body like those on the photo. Without this medication I would be either severely ill, in need of a lung or liver transplant or dead.

CF is a horrid disease but we can fight this together. We are all hoping to have a cure soon. We have medication that can help us live longer and slow down our progressive illness. People are now expected to live between their 30s to 40s 🥰🥰

Understanding cystic fibrosis

Cystic fibrosis is an uncommon genetic disorder. It primarily affects the respiratory and digestive systems. Symptoms often include chronic cough, lung infections, and shortness of breath. Children with cystic fibrosis may also have trouble gaining weight and growing.

Treatment revolves around keeping the airway clear and maintaining adequate nutrition. Health problems can be managed, but there’s no known cure for this progressive illness.

Until late in the 20th century, few people with cystic fibrosis lived beyond childhood. Improvements in medical care have increased life expectancy by decades.

People with CF typically live into their 30s or 40s. The authors of a 2018 study estimated that more than 50% of babies born with CF that year would live to at least the age of 41 years.
