This Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, we are recognising the incredible efforts of Jon, who raised almost £4,000 taking 'JOGLE' (John O'Groats to Land's End) by bike for 2 charities, including CHSW. 🚲💪

He took on the 942 mile challenge in memory of his friend's son, Seth. Seth received support from CHSW’s Little Harbour hospice in St Austell after being diagnosed with a medulloblastoma, a brain tumour the size of a golf ball. Following his death in May 2021 Little Harbour has continued to support the Dickenson family through their bereavement. 🌟

Beth and Sally from the amazing Sibling Support Team at Little Bridge House recently travelled to Bristol to support 3 siblings as their brother has been at Royal Bristol Children's Hospital for 3 months. The team took them out for lunch and played a fun game of tree top golf while offering support and a listening ear to any worries they had. 💚

Today marks the 1st day of ♻️Sustainable September♻️
A month where we will be celebrating, and shouting about, the benefits of buying second-hand goods to reduce waste and protect our planet.

And our 39 shops are doing a phenomenal job - this year we estimate that over 5 million tonnes of CO2 has been saved by customers buying preloved items from our CHSW shops rather than buying new 😲🥳
Now that is something to celebrate!

There were smiles all round at the recent circus themed day at Little Bridge House. 🤹‍♂️
The Care Team arranged incredible sensory activities for everyone to enjoy with lots of juggling, dancing, games, music and an amazing sensory story by Music Therapist, Ceridwen. 💚

Families and staff at Wells Cathedral Prep School & Pre-Prep laced up their walking shoes for a 6-mile walk from Shepton Mallet to Wells in memory of Ottie who died, aged 5, from a Neuroblastoma in January 2022.

This year’s walk was especially poignant, with Ottie’s family joining for the final stretch. Her mum, Lorna, shared her memories of the hospice which supported them all through Ottie's journey: “Charlton Farm made an immeasurable difference to our experience, and we will be forever grateful to the entire team.”

Together, the school community has raised over £750, thank you for your incredible support 🌟

🚗🚙 Over 165 decorated minis visited Little Bridge House this morning, raising smiles for the families staying, as part of the annual Legendary Grand Tour which has been running for almost 30 years!

Thank you so much to everyone who has taken part this weekend and to the organisers Cars Big Hearts The LGT 💚

Thank you also to Exeter MINI for loaning CHSW 2 amazing minis for members of our Care and Fundraising Teams to take part. 👏

17 schools across Cornwall took part in the Kernow Learning Academy £20 Challenge 💚

We gave each class £20 and 20 days to raise as much money for us as they could! Together, the schools have raised over £7,000! 👏 Charlestown School presented their cheque to Alice and Buddy the Bear. 🐻

Some pupils sold donuts at school, made bracelets, ran 158km between them, and even did a superhero walk to Little Harbour! Some serious fundraising! 😄

Noah was a keen gamer and last year Mum Hannah and her band of streamers and gamers raised £2,600. This year, they’re aiming to raise £12,000. Join us in supporting Hannah on what would've been Noah’s 12th birthday. 🌟
