Having occasions to celebrate the memory of a child following their death is an important part of the bereavement journey for many of our families. For Oliver Brown's family, marking his 18th birthday became a whole weekend of celebrations 🎈

With a special ball held in Plymouth, where news that 'The Lord Oliver Brown’, steam locomotive restored in memory of Oliver, had won the national Steam Railway Magazine Reader’s Award was celebrated! And then a Sunday filled with 'The Lord Oliver Brown' transporting lots of passengers up and Plym Valley Railway - it was a poignant weekend for a very special boy 💚🚂 🩷

Our Sibling Support Team enjoyed a brilliant day out at The BIG Sheep Family Attraction with some of the children supported by Little Bridge House recently.

Support isn’t always about being at the hospice, our teams help siblings in so many meaningful ways. From crafts, baking and games, to days out like this, they create space for siblings to have fun with other children with shared experiences and to feel understood. They also offer family activities, teenage weekends and ongoing support between stays, so siblings always know we’re here if they need to talk. 💚

We recently celebrated a very special milestone, as twin sisters Maya and Ezri turned 9 💜

In the lead-up, our team worked closely with their mum to find a way to make the day truly magical. As a huge Star Wars fan, Maya had one big wish… so we set out to bring the galaxy to Charlton Farm 💫

A big thank you to MK Garrison for helping create such special birthday magic and making this day one to never forget 😊
