Job Title: Medical Receptionist, Full Time

Private Health Professionals, a welcoming private GP practice in North Devon, is looking for a flexible and reliable medical receptionist to join our dedicated healthcare team. This is a varied and rewarding role at the heart of our practice, where patient care is our top priority.

As the first point of contact for our patients and clinicians, you will help create a professional, warm and supportive environment for everyone who walks through our doors.

The Role

This is a hands-on, people-focused position with a variety of responsibilities, including:
• Answering calls and responding to enquiries in a professional and friendly manner
• Booking and managing patient appointments
• Assisting with diary changes and scheduling updates
• Taking payments and carrying out general administrative tasks
• Welcoming and supporting patients during their visit
• Preparing refreshments for patients when required
• Preparing treatment rooms and maintaining a tidy, organised reception area
• Ensuring forms and printed materials are fully stocked
• Monitoring and restocking essential supplies
• Providing general support to clinicians and assisting the Practice Managers

No two days are the same, and you’ll play an important role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.

About You

We are looking for someone who:
• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Is highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Is confident using telephone systems and basic computer software
• Has a proactive, positive and can-do attitude
• Remains calm and professional in a busy environment
• Previous reception or healthcare experience is desirable, but not essential
