Mini Music Mondays 🌼 The first group I started going to as a childminder last September and we’ve been almost every Monday since!

The children are really familiar with the routine at Mini Music now. They have their favourite songs, favourite props and enjoy singing these songs at home now too! Plus, a cup of tea and a slice of cake for the grown ups… bonus!

When we first started going to this group, my Monday children were aged 9months - 20months and now at ages 2 and 3 (and a new Monday baby) they’re fully thriving! My cup is so full.

A full day out full of adventure and new experiences at Woolley Animals!

Fed the goats, alpacas and sheep. Saw the pigs, dogs and guinea pigs. Played in the park, rode the tractors and had a timely undercover picnic escaping the rain.

Days out with these little people are so, so rich. Days like this are real “pinch me” moments - how did I get so lucky that this is work? Dreamy!

Did you know that a green man in the garden is said to bring good luck to your garden and all that grows in it? Neither did we! We learnt so much today on the wonderful welly walk at RHS Garden Rosemoor.

We made green men on the trees to keep the gardens fruitful after collecting in the forage garden. We met for a story about a “minpin” and continued to forage for things to make them a cosy and safe house.

Made all the better with our friends from Little Oats Childminding too!

Wow we had the loveliest morning taking part in the RHS Garden Rosemoor Welly Walk today!

The theme was all about birds, which was perfect timing following the big RSPB bird watch!

We matched the bird pictures found in the gardens to the cards, we searched for “woolly worms” in the grass and made fantastic clay nests with treasures that we collected along the way.

Today, we walked.

We had no agenda, nowhere to be, no set destination or time constraint.

We took our time to notice the weather, we spotted the gulls by the water and the pheasant looking a little lost.

We saw dog walkers and waved saying “hello” and “good morning” and “dog! Woof!”

Then the rain came and it POURED! We were completely and utterly caught in the rain.

We sang “rain rain go away, come again another day” and the children LAUGHED. We laughed and laughed and raindrops fell from our faces.

Learning that walking and observing all of the wonder is enough. We had warm hearts, followed by lovely warm blankets ❤️ Hygge ❤️

Little hands, big smiles, cosy days and so many moments to be thankful for 🤍

As we wrap up for Christmas, I’m feeling incredibly grateful for another term filled with curiosity, kindness and growing confidence. Watching the children learn, play and become more them each day is truly the best part of what I do.

Wishing all of our families a joyful Christmas, a peaceful break and lots of special moments together ✨🎄

We had the most beautiful morning in the woods making Christmas jingle sticks, singing our favourite Christmas songs and splashing in the biggest puddle we could find!
