Misogyny - prejudice, discrimination, or hostility towards women and girls - remains a significant barrier to safety, equality, and wellbeing in our communities. The following facts are designed to challenge common myths, spark honest conversations, and encourage practical action. Each fact is grounded in UK law, research, and guidance, with prompts to help teams, workplaces, and communities reflect on their own culture and practices.
This resource is intended to support the “16 Days of Action” campaign, and can be used at any time to raise awareness, strengthen safeguarding, and promote respectful, inclusive environments. Some of the topics discussed may be sensitive or distressing; please take care of yourself and others, and seek support if needed.

Caring for loved ones living with dementia can be an incredibly rewarding thing to do.
But there are a lot of challenges carers can encounter that aren’t always visible, such as stress, overwhelm and burn out, to name but a few.
Sometimes this experience can be likened to an iceberg, as illustrated here, showing that what is visible is often only a small part of someone’s reality.
If you’re a carer, what would your dementia 'iceberg' look like?
Remember to check in on those around you, they may seem fine on the outside but be struggling deep down 💙

🤧🦠 Cold or flu - knowing the difference might not seem urgent, but it can help you act right. A cold often develops slowly and stays mostly around your nose and throat, while the flu tends to hit fast, affects your whole body and leaves you feeling really unwell.

Rest well, keep hydrated and if things feel worse than “just a cold”, don’t hesitate to seek advice.
