We are the UK Centre of Excellence for holistic eye care, which is strongly rooted in Chinese and East Asian Medicine. We offer advice, resources, supplements & specialist treatment programmes for people with degenerative eye conditions.
Our mission is to help people "see into the future".
We seek to retain, repair, and possibly regain vision loss due to degenerative eye conditions.
✔️Supplements
✔️Online telehealth consults
✔️Personalised herbal medicine - couriered to your door
✔️Specialist Vision Acutherapy Programme
(5-10 days in North Devon - available to all UK/EU residents)
Who do we treat?
We treat people who have ongoing vision loss due to degenerative conditions and who are committed to using Chinese Medicine approaches to improve their overall and eye health.
The sooner and earlier people seek help the better the outcomes as it is always easier to keep that which you have than recover that which is lost. You should be motivated to make changes we may recommend.
It includes, but is not limited to people with;
Macular degeneration(wet & dry, age-related and not)
Glaucoma
Genetic conditions, e.g. Retinitis Pigmentosa, Lieber’s disease, Stargardt’s
Optic Neuritis
Diabetic Retinopathy and other retinopathies
Dry eyes
Before you ask, NO NEEDLES ARE PUT IN THE EYES. They are only placed on the face and other points in the body.
✔️Supplements
We are the exclusive European stockist and distributor of Dr Andy Rosenfarb's food supplements. Dr Rosenfarb has created these based on his expertise in treating eye conditions over twenty years and we are delighted to offer them to you. For further details please contact us.
✔️Online telehealth consults
We speak with all potential patients for the Vision Acutherapy Programme before enrolment, to make sure we are both a good fit for each other. New patients are then invited to an in-depth online/phone consult to review their whole health history and review of any relevant medical notes etc (think of this as a health MOT). Your condition is then explained in Chinese Medicine terms and many people find this fascinating and helps them understand much more clearly what is going on.
At that online consult, we can cover some acupressure points (AcuPressPlus+), diet and lifestyle advice (all rooted in Chinese Medicine) and we can also review supplements etc as well.
You can also discuss how Herbal Medicine may help you. All Herbal Medicine consults are conducted online, again taking an overall view of your health as well as specific eye condition(s). A personalised formula is then created for you and herbs are couriered from our dispensary to your door, along with instructions on how to take. Many people choose to start on herbs before coming for Vision Acutherapy, but this is totally up to you.
✔️Personalised herbal medicine - couriered to your door
Herbal Medicine has been used in China and other Eastern countries for thousands of years to treat eye conditions. Herbs can be fantastic for eye conditions as they can improve the quality of blood, improve blood flow and decrease blood stasis and good blood flow is essential for good eye health as it brings nutrients and oxygen to the cells in the eye. Taking herbal medicine means that your body gets a little dose every day. In the UK the herbs we use are plant-based and many are considered foods e.g. dates, cinnamon, licorice. Many of the herbs use for eyes are flowers, e.g. crysthanemum, honeysuckle flowers. etc
Of course, herbal medicine is truly holistic – it affects the health of your whole body (and mind) not just your eyes. In fact, it is very common for people to notice changes in their overall health which is then a good surrogate marker for changes in the eyes and vision.
✔️Specialist Vision Acutherapy Programme
Alison’s interest in Acupuncture to treat Eye Disease stems from a deep desire to help a family member. Research led her to Dr Andy Rosenfarb, a world-renowned and leading authority on Ophthalmic Acupuncture, based in New Jersey, USA. Over the past two years Alison has immersed herself in studying this in both the USA and Europe and is currently the only Acupuncturist in Europe to have completed Dr Rosenfarb’s Advanced training. She is also a Certified Practitioner in MA48 (his specialist microsystem for eye and neurological conditions). The Vision Acutherapy® Programme is closely based on Dr Rosenfarb’s comprehensive system and teaching.
Acupuncture is a holistic approach, treating both mind and body. Specifically, for eye conditions it is thought that it may
increasing circulation
reduce inflammation
reduce oxidation stress
stimulate photoreceptors, optic nerve and the visual cortex
Alison is deeply impressed with the results reported by patients with eye conditions and the positive impact it can make on their lives and those around them. She is a full member of the British Acupuncture Council, which is accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Please note that these approaches are not an alternative to Conventional Medicine and we never advise anyone to stop conventional treatment or medication. Individual results may vary, for example according to age, type of condition, other co-morbidities, how long the condition has been present etc. We therefore recommend monitoring and also vision testing before and after each block of treatments in the Vision Acutherapy programme so we evaluate both objective and subjective measures before continuing with treatment.
