PRP Hair repair sessions following hair transplant surgery helps increase the graft rate of transplanted hair follicles as well as minimising the chances of scarring. This treatment should ALWAYS be carried out after this type of surgery to contribute to the best results as possible. Failure to do so may ultimately leave you dissatisfied with poorer results than hoped for. If you plan to have this surgery it is imperative to research and include this treatment as part of your aftercare.

These are results so far on one of my clients after two sessions of PRP hair repair & he will continue to see more growth and nourishment to the targeted areas after his third session.

PRP Hair repair treatments are an important and vital follow up procedure after having hair transplant surgery. These treatments can increase the graft rate of the transplanted hair follicles as well as minimising the chance of scarring.

After having a hair transplant, many patients can and will experience hair shedding which can obviously dishearten the individual. Whilst shedding is normal and temporary, following up with PRP hair treatments minimises this as well as producing quicker results.

Filling in the blanks with PRP 🩸

These comparison pictures were taken back in October 12 weeks after my clients first session.

Lots of new growth as well as connecting the areas of thinning back together strand by strand - it’s always important to note that PRP hair repair is not an overnight journey. Personally I am delighted with these results!

Throughout the initial 3 sessions we carried out one session of micro-needling followed by one round of manual injections and the final initial round with my amazing injection machine. Can’t rate my injection machine enough for this procedure just gutted I never had it from the get go but I have it now!

My client is due their first maintenance/top up early next year and I cannot wait to see the continued development from October until then!

With that being said I have spaces to take on new PRP hair repair clients from 2024.

Minimum of 3 initial sessions are required followed by maintenance between every 4-12 months to retain the benefits of the treatment ❤️🩸❤️

Contraindications to PRP?

PRP treatments would not be advisable for anyone who has or suffers from the following medical conditions.

This is not an exhaustive list - however if you do have any other medical conditions which you think might interfere with this treatment I would always advise to speak to your Doctor/GP for further advice and guidance 🩸🫶🏻

For anyone who also struggles with blood draws (as well as having good veins to locate) I would recommend mesotherapy treatments which I offer for hair treatments ❤️

My own personal PRP Hair Repair results.

Always a firm believer if I offer these services I should be getting them done as well which was important to me as I really struggled with my confidence in my hairline since having my son.

Treatments have been carried out on my hairline area in particular focusing on the left and right hand side of the hairline.

These initial three sessions consisted of 2x micro needling sessions and 1x injection session as it is difficult for me to do the injections myself! I do truly believe I would have seen more growth on myself if I had three injection sessions which I now only offer injections for PRP Hair Repair as the results compared to micro needling alone have been fantastic for my clients & my injection machine is amazing!!

Love doing PRP treatments and seeing results like this! ❤️🩸💉

There are 14 weeks between these comparison pictures.

Delighted with these considering her 1st session was microneedling only then two sessions of injections.

I have shared some of my friends journey before but this is a little update & timeline of pictures.

My friend suffered a horrendous facial injury through no fault of his own at the start of the year & from June I have been carrying out PRP micro-needling treatments on his plastic surgery scars. We have recently carried out his third session, where again I increased needle depth to 1.5mm so there will be even more improvement from the far left picture.

Throughout each session I gradually increased my needle depth from 1mm to 1.5mm, it’s important to understand I have been increasing needle depth for this as this is a thickened surgical scar. Needle depths will vary depending on severity and areas of the face/head/body treated, for anyone having micro-needling treatments done it is important to be aware of needle depths as using too long a needle depth may and more likely will cause unnecessary trauma to the subcutaneous layer of the skin and cause scarring.

Right picture is before any PRP sessions had been carried out & you can see a massive difference. Not only that the larger scar has such a smoother texture to it when you touch it and is gradually camouflaging in with the rest of his skin.

Again, I discourage sharing some differences so early as everyone’s body, recovery, healing journey, health and diet is different but these are some fantastic results.

PRP Hair Repair treatments uses the Platelet-Rich Plasma derived from a patients blood 🩸

A small amount of blood is drawn via the usual phlebotomy protocol from the arm & then placed into a centrifuge machine where the components of your blood will be separated.

Your plasma is then drawn up and injected into target areas using an injection gun. This injection gun controls each injection whilst administering the same amount of cc of plasma per injection point. Typically around 5ml of plasma is injected. After this the surface area will then undergo microneedling to create an even healing response - any remaining plasma from the blood draw will then be massaged over these areas.

Numbing cream is applied whilst the patients blood spins which does aim to minimise discomfort and pain.

3x sessions are recommended initially (however more initial treatments may be needed depending on severity) 4 weeks apart with maintenance appointments ranging from every 3/6 months thereafter to maintain the benefits of the treatment.

It is also super important to understand this is a natural journey therefore results will take time to appear. Typically healthy hair tends to grow between 0.5-1.7 cm per month therefore patience and persistence is required for this treatment. As well as this PRP hair treatments do not possess the ability to revive or restore dead/non existent hair follicles 💉🩸🫶🏻

Hi guys just to let yous know that I will now be operating from home 🏡 at the moment, some of you will know that I had previously converted one of my rooms to a barber room which I haven’t been using for a long time so I’m looking forward to making some tweaks at the beginning of this week. I am based within East Renfrewshire & not far from where I was. Still running my days on Fridays at the moment but I will have some more scope now for different days & times.

Another few courses in the pipeline aswell which I will touch on soon 🔜 🫶🏻🩸

The long term plan will be to find a premises, good things come to those who wait ❤️
