🎉Please join us in wishing a big Happy 94th Birthday to the lovely D! 🎂💐

D celebrated her 94th birthday, and it was a really special day. Her niece kindly brought her a cake and candles the day before, so Caitlin, her carer, lit them and sang Happy Birthday with her, celebrating alongside D’s neighbours who were also there 💛

Earlier in the day, D had one special birthday request… KFC for lunch! 🍗 Caitlin made sure that birthday wish was granted (gobbled too quickly for a photo!).

💙 A heartfelt thank you, and a well done to our care team 💙

We recently received a very touching message from a family member following the passing of K, thanking our carers for the support, kindness, and dignity shown over the past few years as his health declined.

End-of-life care is a privilege, and it takes compassion, patience, and genuine humanity to support someone — and their loved ones — through such a difficult time.

We would like to say well done and thank you to the care team who supported K. Your kindness does not go unnoticed, and it clearly meant a great deal to his family.

Our thoughts are with K’s family and loved ones at this time. Thank you for trusting us, and for taking the time to share such kind words during a period of grief.

When the meals look this good, it’s no wonder Joy keeps getting asked back on rotas 😋

Joy has been cooking up some delicious grub for clients lately — home-cooked, nourishing, and made with care. Meals like these don’t just fill bellies, they lift spirits too 💙

We thought we’d share a few top tips to help elderly loved ones stay healthy and hydrated at home:

🥣 Little and often – smaller meals and snacks can be easier than big plates
☕ Encourage regular drinks – water, squash, tea, soups all count
🍲 Warm, familiar foods – comfort meals are often eaten better
🥕 Add extra goodness – a bit of veg, protein or dairy boosts nutrition
⏰ Keep a routine – regular mealtimes help appetite and hydration
