One of the biggest misconceptions I see in clinic 👇🏼

“It’s my lower face that’s the problem.”
But in most cases… it isn’t where the issue starts.

As we age, we lose volume in the mid-face (think the malar fat pad), which naturally supports the lower face. As that support weakens, everything below begins to descend, creating heaviness, folds, and that ‘drop’ people notice around the mouth and jawline.

So treating the lower face alone? It often won’t give the most natural or balanced result.
