It’s that time of the month again!

Michelle will be filling in for Verity this time and will be at Windermere and Bowness Medical Practice tomorrow - Tuesday 3rd March - between 9am to midday, for our monthly drop-in (first Tuesday of every month).

Our service supports people across the whole of South Cumbria and we’re keen to be more accessible in local communities.

If you have a physical or mental health condition and are struggling at work or returning to work or getting work, come along for an informal chat about how we can help.

Please note, you don't have to be a patient at the medical practice to drop-in.

No appointment needed — come along to say hello and ask questions 💬

Our senior work and health coach Michelle attended Furness College on Monday this week, to give a presentation to the apprentices on health and wellbeing. She talked about the WorkWell offer and how to refer in, staying well while studying and working, and developing healthy habits now that will set them up well life-long. Thanks to the staff for accommodating us!

Yesterday, Work & Health coaches Verity and Kiera attended the Cumbria Health Awards in Keswick after both being nominated for the 'Communities Award'. It was great to catch up with colleagues from across the county and reflect on the success of the past year.

It was an absolute privilege to be nominated alongside so many amazing people who are doing fantastic work in their communities. It was quite a shock when Kiera was presented with the 'Communities Award'! This is all thanks to our local community for allowing us to work alongside them and make a difference together 🏆💙

Michelle will be at Mind in Furness, School Street, Barrow for our drop-in tomorrow (Friday 20th February) from 9am-12pm.

Our Mind drop-in will now run on the 1st and 3rd Friday of every month.

Pop along to say hello, ask questions, get more information or have a chat about a referral for support to help you either stay at work, return to work following a sickness period or find work. No appointment is needed.

While our partner offers are available to those aged 18+, our team of Work & Health coaches are here to help you identify the right pathways for younger apprentices too.

Yesterday, we at WorkWell South Cumbria had a collaborative day with Work Well North Cumbria hosted at Cumbria Health HQ in Carlisle .

We discussed ideas and how we can ultimately make our services better for the people we serve north and south of the county by learning from each other. 🙂

No gold this time, but an amazing experience for Verity at the Excellence in Healthcare Partnership Awards ✨ We are incredibly honoured just to be nominated and we would like to say a huge thank you to our wonderful participants and partners for making this possible.

It was great oppotunuty to connect with professionals from such diverse backgrounds and fantastic to network with like-minded individuals. Huge congratulations to all the winners and those who were highly commended!
