Our mission is to serve you with respect and empathy and to treat you like our family, providing the most meaningful, compassionate, and memorable funeral service for your loved one. All the staff here at Lyndsay Ellis @ The Vale Funeral Service make us who we are. We are as individual as you are, we value our staff and we are like a family. We believe that this is key in making your time a little easier, taking away much of the worry at an emotional tme. Lyndsay conducts the majority of funeral services and he will always arrive with a full compliment of professional staff. It’s these small details that our clients tell us are important – our friendly approach, dedication to what we do and genuine care for the families we look after means that our client’s expectations are often exceeded.

Peacefully at Collegefields Care Home, Barry - Alcwyn, devoted husband to the late Anne and much loved Dad of Sian & Glyn. Special Father In Law of Steve and Louise, cherished Grandfather & Great Grandfather of Rachael, Ceri, Rhian, Rhys, Dylan, Aria and Elian
He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Alcwyn is resting in the care of Lyndsay Ellis @ The Vale Funeral Service, Court Road, Barry until his service at Cardiff & Glamorgan Crematorium, Barry on Friday 16th January at 1:00pm.

As the year draws to a close, it’s common to think of the people who are special to us – especially those we've lost. That’s why we’ve chosen to take part in Light a Candle.

From 15 to 21 December we’ll be posting digital candles in memory of those who can’t be with us during the festive season. If you’d like to create a virtual candle, please click the following link where you can choose a design and write a short message to a loved one.

There's no cost for you or your family to get involved and create an online memorial.

Wow , I am so privileged to be a part of this community 🙏

Today we held our Christmas Memorial Service To Remember Our Loved Ones and so overwhelmed to see nearly 300 attend .

I truly hope that the service today brought you great comfort as we united. Our Roll Of Honour which was read out aloud was an amazing response as always .

A special thank you to Rosie Berry a beautiful and amazing soloist which definitely brought tears to our eyes as we took time to reflect.

Once again thank you to my team whom every year never fail with their commitment and care for our families within the community .

Thank you to Rev Zoe King and her church team for their time today who offered their services free of charge.

Thank you to everyone who donated and we are pleased to announce over £470 was collected to support All Saints Church, Barry

Special thanks also to our readers Chris Chalk
( All Saints ) and Debbie Bourge ( Cardiff & Glamorgan Crematorium, Barry ) .

Finally ! I personally thank you from the bottom of my heart for your loyalty , support and commitment to me personally .
