Our Direct Cremation is for people who, for lots of reasons, would prefer not to have a funeral service. It’s an alternative to a traditional funeral, with no service and no one present at the cremation, but comes with all the dignity and respect you’d expect from Co-op Funeralcare. If you’d like to plan a separate memorial service for a later date, we’d be happy to help. We also provide memorial items such as caskets for ashes, urns, benches and jewellery. For more information about these, please contact your local Co-op Funeralcare branch.

Janet's family decided to add a Mallard engine on to her order of service and condolence book as a way for her late husband to be included in the service as he was a train driver 🚂

Wildflower seeds and a mixture of pins were also attached to the order of services for loved ones to take home as a keepsake
