As many of you now know we are now live with Electronic Prescriptions. There are significant benefits for the surgery, pharmacies and patients.

Whilst we appreciate this is a change for patients not receiving a green piece of paper. This EPS system has been used in England for over 20 years without any problems.

It’s secure, fully auditable, saves trees and most importantly prevents lost prescriptions which the surgery and pharmacy have spent many hours previously looking for them, then reprint them, then spending time to obtain another wet GP signature. These inefficiencies are huge for us and now we have a national electronic system to overcome them!

Please nominate a pharmacy so we can move into the modern age and make improvements to our services and ultimately patient care 🙏. You can do this by asking the pharmacy or asking us when your next in the practice or calling us by phone.

We are thrilled to announce that our surgery is now live with Electronic Prescriptions! 🎉

This upgrade is designed to improve efficiency, reduce paper waste, and enhance your overall experience. We want to ensure that your preferred pharmacy is part of this transition!

If you have a pharmacy in mind that you’d like to nominate, it’s super easy! If you haven’t already done so, just ask your usual pharmacy, or let us know the next time you're in the surgery. You can also tell us when you give us a call next.

We have seen a general decline in parents bringing their children to be vaccinated at the surgery and would like to bring awareness of how devastating the consequences of the decision not to protect them with a safe vaccine can be.

The MMR vaccine protects against measles and two other viruses called mumps and rubella.

The child died at Alder Hey Children's Hospital, which said it is "concerned" about an increase in the virus, and put this partly down to a decline in people getting vaccinated.

Please note that our surgery doors will be closed from 1:30 PM for essential staff training. During this time, we'll only be providing telephone access for urgent clinical calls at 01446 705572.
