🎀 October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month 🎀

Did you know, 1 in 7 women in the UK will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. Early detection saves lives.

At Caremark Cardiff & the Vale, we stand in solidarity with all those affected by breast cancer - the fighters, the survivors, the families, and their loved ones 💗

We understand how vital early detection, compassionate care, and support are throughout every stage of the journey. Whether it's assisting with daily tasks, offering a listening ear, or providing respite for families, we're here to help.

This month, let's wear pink, share stories, raise awareness, and support the cause. Together, we can make a difference💕

✅ Check your breasts monthly – Look for lumps, swelling, or changes in shape or skin
✅ Know what’s normal for you – Everyone’s body is different
✅ Don’t ignore changes – Even if it seems minor, speak to your GP
✅ Attend NHS screenings – Women aged 50–70 are invited every 3 years (earlier if high risk)
✅ Maintain a healthy lifestyle – Diet, exercise, and limiting alcohol can help lower risk
✅ Know your family history – Some breast cancers can be hereditary

A huge thank you to our wonderful staff, clients, and friends who joined us for September’s Coffee Club. The laughter, good company, and plenty of tea and cake made it another day to remember! 💙

Today we had a lovely visit in the office from Mrs. Codman’s daughter, who came to share her gratitude for the care and support her mum has received from our team over the past few years💐

Mrs. Codman has recently made the transition into a care home and we are so pleased to hear she is settling in well. It has been our privilege to support her, and we wish the Codman family all the very best for the future!

A huge thank you to all our amazing staff, clients, and the whole team who made today’s Coffee Club such a fantastic success – the warm sunshine certainly helped compared to the weather last time! 🌞

It was a super busy afternoon with a brilliant mix of lovely new faces and our wonderful regulars. Your energy and smiles made the room feel even brighter!

We were also delighted to welcome our local PC and PCSO, who joined us for a friendly chat about staying safe at home and avoiding scams – a really valuable discussion for everyone👮‍♂️💬 South Wales Police Cardiff and Vale of Glamorgan
