It's Myeloma Awareness Week. Here’s what you need to know about this type of cancer 👇

Myeloma is a type of cancer that develops from plasma cells in the bone marrow.

Symptoms can include bone pain, lots of infections or infections that don't go away, feeling thirstier than usual and feeling more tired or breathless than what's normal for you.

If you’ve noticed anything unusual for you, or any changes that haven’t gone away, talk to your doctor. In most cases, it won’t be cancer, but if it is, diagnosing it early can make a real difference.

Does anyone know this shoplifter. We think he took over £200 worth of makeup today. We’re not sure if he’s a Barry local or has travelled in from elsewhere. Our kind customers alerted us to him, and one was even brave enough to challenge him and tried to stop him leaving the Pharmacy. Please can you share to see if we can find the guy. We all work so hard day in day out. Small businesses like us can’t afford losses like this. Also please think twice before buying cheap makeup from car boot sales or Facebook, as they are likely stolen from genuine hard working businesses.

PATIENT INFORMATION

The Welsh Blood Service are holding blood donation session in Barry on May 14th

At present only 3% of the population donate blood. Each donation will save three lives or six premature babies. It’s such a wonderful way to support your community and help save lives all over Wales. The blood donations that they collect supply 19 hospitals in Wales.

By donating or sharing the word, you are helping them maintain that supply to your local health board. Thank you!
