It’s never easy coming back off holiday but in the past few weeks since returning I’ve had such amazing news from some of my fertility patients that I actually feel privileged to be back in my little clinic 🥰

Both IVF patients who I was treating right up to the day before my holiday are now pregnant and enjoying their first trimester.

Another lady who had acupuncture for natural fertility to help with conceiving with a PCOS diagnosis gave birth to a beautiful baby girl while I was away. And she never had to go through the stress and expense of assisted fertility.

And finally, a lovely lady who has suffered recurrent early miscarriage is now safely through her first trimester and finally able to relax and enjoy the rest of her pregnancy.

I no longer keep count of how many pregnancies and newborn babies that Flo Acupuncture has played a tiny part in but each and every single one of them makes every moment of accommodating them outside of my usual working hours worthwhile 🙏

I just wanted to share that having won a national Woman Who Achieves award earlier this year, I am now a FINALIST for the national solopreneur awards! 🏆

To say I am absolutely blown away by this is an understatement.

Starting Flo Acupuncture has been quite the journey and the most amazing and incredible experience. I’m so grateful to everyone who has supported my business in every single way.

Nothing to do with acupuncture but I couldn’t let International Dog Day pass without celebrating my little fur baby 🐶

It’s particularly poignant as I’m away in Corfu with my family at the moment and missing little Ellie really badly. She’s a 5 year old toy cavapoo but I can rest knowing that she’s in very safe hands and being reunited with her will make returning from holiday in a week that little bit easier.

So here’s to all of the dogs in our life 🐶🥰

A bottle of champagne and a lovely surprise from an 80 year old patient.

She had been dismissed by her GP practice on many occasions because apparently back pain is ‘normal’ at that age! After a short course of acupuncture this lovely lady is now pain free for the first time in over 6 years and able to return to the things she enjoys such as walking and gardening.

A lovely bunch of flowers and a sad (and tearful) goodbye to a long term patient of mine.

I have been treating a lovely 28 year old with severe hip pain and sciatica who unfortunately was put on a waiting list for a hip replacement at such a young age. She was told she was ‘bone on bone’ and prescribed high strength painkillers which she was reluctant to take due to severe side effects.

After just 3 treatments she had a massive reduction in her pain levels and was virtually pain free after 5 sessions. For the past year I have treated her just once a month and kept her pain free naturally while she awaited necessary surgery.

Today she had her hip replacement and I’m sure she will make a swift and incredible recovery.

I may have ‘lost’ her as a patient but she went out on a real high. And I’m grateful for the several patients she has sent my way to fill her place. Never underestimate the power of word of mouth referrals.

If you are suffering with chronic pain or osteoarthritis then NICE guidelines recommend acupuncture as a first line course of treatment.

This is why I do what I do 🥰

This is the 20 week scan of a patient’s baby who was conceived with the assistance of acupuncture. She had previously struggled to fall pregnant despite trying for nearly 2 years.

She had polycystic o***y syndrome (PCOS) but sadly wasn’t eligible for IVF on the NHS due to her BMI. She struggled with her weight because of PCOS.

After just 8 weeks of acupuncture she sent me a very excited WhatsApp showing a positive pregnancy test.

I’m very grateful that she got an extra picture at her 20 week scan to give to me along with her consent to share it anonymously.

I’m very grateful to have played a tiny part in creating a new life and helping this lovely lady to fulfill her dreams of becoming a mum 🥰

As I’ve shared previously, I was amazed to be a finalist at the Woman Who Achieves Awards. It’s a national award with a proper judging panel which recognises and celebrates the achievements of Women in Business. It encourages business women to recognise their achievements, celebrate their successes and inspire others by becoming role models.

Well, last Friday I was genuinely shocked to find out that I had actually won an award 🥇🙌🏆

The judges selected me because not only had I taken Flo Acupuncture from a fledgling start up to fully booked with a waiting list in just 2 years, but in that time I had transformed the lives of so many individuals through acupuncture. All I can say is a massive thank you to The Acupuncture Academy for giving me the skills and support to be able to do this. I feel grateful to have such a rewarding career 🥰
