Flowers…. How can we relate?

🌸 From time to time we need to remind ourselves that we cannot perform 100% all of the time! Just like a flower, the energy to produce and sustain a bloom cannot happen all the time!

🌹It’s important to have your down time
🌷Accept that there will be periods of growth
🌺Accept that there will be times of hardship and pain
🌻Recognising that 80% is better than 0%
🌼Recuperate and recharge

So you are ready to bloom again, often and brightly!

This mindset can really help aid chronic long term pain situations. Your body can’t perform at its best if you’re not having down time and nourishment.

There are going to be good days, bad days, major highs and major lows - but realising you can’t perform 24/7 can give you that peace of mind and help you forge forward.

👐 Whether you’re recovering from injury, managing a chronic condition, or simply want to feel your best, we’re here to support you every step of the way.

Food for thought….. 🧠

When the brain hits danger mode or prolonged periods of stress we can start to do many things that can drain energy, and eventually start to run on empty.

Below are 3 reasons (but not limited to) why the brain might be in danger mode;

1: Rumination… over processing and going over and over your thoughts of what’s, ifs, maybes and scenarios. This can then lead to catastrophising.

2: Anxiety…. Stuck in the fight, flight freeze mode. Cortisol takes the lead and you start to feel constantly on edge. Sometimes appearing irritable. This can also manifest physically.

3: Increased pain for no reason…. This is a stinger in many ways, no recent injuries, falls etc but the low back pain that you had years ago.. comes back out of no where!

The Brain is awesome, it builds pathways and learnt behaviours as we go through life! Neurons develop and the more you use the pathway the more engrained it is.
Think of it abut like skill fade…. Use it or lose it!

Pain is complex and more often than not life overlaps and interlinks creating those peaks and troughs some people experience.

If you’re in pain and it’s out the blue..it’s good idea to check in, consider and ask…. Is your brain currently operating in danger mode? Is your current environment full of stress and anxiety? Could this be a reason for a sudden increase in pain?

Pain doesn’t always manifest from damaged tissue… but remember your brain is a muscle and if it’s over stimulated like some of the reasons above, this could be a contributor to random pain, like our eg of low back pain.
