Welcome to MILK! A little bit about me and my business -
My name is Christine and I’m a mummy to two young children. I’ve been an osteopath and clinical Pilates teacher for a long time and we have a clinic, Pure Health, in Barton.
I have always been passionate about breastfeeding, and so when I was pregnant it seemed like a simple choice to breastfeed them. I didn’t think too much more about it. It’s natural so it must be easy, right? Well in my case at least, I was wrong! I won’t bore you with the whole tale but suffice to say we had many obstacles to overcome during our journey. I realised how important support is during this journey, and how hard it can be to find sometimes.
My challenging experiences has ultimately led me along the road to qualifying as an accredited infant feeding coach and breastfeeding counsellor, and thus MILK was born!
As I mentioned, I am passionate about breastfeeding, but I also believe that all parents and prospective parents deserve the right to have an informed choice about how they wish to feed their babies, whether it be breastmilk, expressed milk, formula, a combination or donor milk. And so at MILK I offer a safe space to explore and discuss your options. I believe education and preparation is key to success in many instances, therefore I offer antenatal classes and 1-2-1 preparation consultations to discuss all things feeding and get you ready and confident to feed your baby when he or she arrives. I also offer postnatal consultations to discuss and troubleshoot any problems you may be experiencing. Sessions will be held at Pure Health, Barton. I also offer zoom consultations and home visits.
☕️ Also watch this space for my upcoming MILKy tea baby cafe and drop in infant feeding support group. Held at my clinic, it will be a safe space to get support, feed your baby and meet other parents, whilst being supplied with hot drinks and biscuits 🤩
I look forward to meeting you soon!
