Hi all , I’m launching an “IM HERE TO HELP” campaign.. with so many outside defibrillators going out throughout the country so many are not being used because a lot of people don’t really understand what they actually do and a little scared to use them just in case they hurt someone.. an AED will not restart a heart once it has completely stopped because that's not what it's designed to do. the purpose of a defib is to detect irregular heart rhythms and shock them back to normal rhythms, not to shock a heart back to life once it has flatlined.
To put it simply.. an AED doesn’t start the heart it stops it (which sounds more scary 😟) the machine will basically give the heart a nudge so it beats properly again .. You can NOT shock someone if that person doesn’t need it , the machine WILL NOT let you .. the device will tell you what to do, where to put the pads and let you know if the person needs shocking .. even if your not sure , please find the nearest one , get the pads on and the machine will take over .. the only thing you can do is Maybe save someone’s life 💚💚 PLEASE SHARE !!!! 💚💚💚
