Our slow half term might have ended with me being completely wiped out by the dreaded sickness bug 🤢… but honestly, I’m taking it as a reminder.

I’m really trying to show my girls that we don’t have to be busy all the time.
We don’t need plans every day.
We don’t need to fill every hour.

Slow days are good.
Slow days are necessary.
Slow days are enough.

It’s something I’m still working on as a mum….the guilt of “we should be doing more” is real. But this week proved that staying home, snuggling on the sofa, watching films, reading stories and just being together is more than enough 🤍

And can we talk about the phonics stage of parenting?! 😂

This really hit home for me. 🥹

As a teenager, I used over-exercising and under-eating as a way to cope. It felt like control in situations where I had none.

But now I’m raising two daughters.

And that shifts your perspective fast.

I don’t just train for how I look.
I fuel my body.
I rest.
I speak kindly about myself.

Because they’re learning what “normal” looks like from me.

My mission is simple:
To be the role model they deserve.
To break cycles.
To show them strength without punishment.
Discipline without deprivation.
Confidence without conditions.

We don’t have to be perfect…..but we can be intentional. Thank you to my beautiful daughters for helping me grow and do better!
