In just 25 days, people will be taking part in the Annual Sleep Out for Project 58.7. The Basildon Churches’ initiative dedicated to supporting homeless and disadvantaged people in Basildon.
This project is very close to our hearts. We have been part of it for the past couple of years, and each time it reminds us why it matters so much. Project 58.7 is not just about spending one night outdoors. It’s about standing in solidarity with those who face hardship every single day. It’s about compassion, dignity, and coming together as a community to make a real difference.
Homelessness and vulnerability can affect anyone, and through this event we hope to raise both awareness and vital funds to continue the incredible work being done locally.
Please help us support this meaningful cause. Your contribution, no matter the size, can bring hope, practical support, and encouragement to those who need it most.
Together, we can make a difference. 💛

We are holding our annual Sleep Out, on the 20th March 2026, to raise working funds for Project 58.7 to support the homeless and disadvantaged of Basildon where we hope you will support or better still join us.

A huge thank you to Mick for coming in to perform for our residents today.
We had such a wonderful time singing along to some of our favourite songs, with plenty of smiles, toe-tapping, and even a little dancing! The room was filled with happiness and laughter. It was truly a special afternoon.
Music is so powerful, it lifts our mood, sparks precious memories, and brings everyone together in the most beautiful way. Today was a perfect reminder of how much joy a simple song can bring. Thank you again, Mick. We can’t wait to welcome you back! 🎤✨🎶

Betty had the most beautiful visit from her granddaughters and great-granddaughters. A day overflowing with love, laughter, and music. Together they sang their hearts out, filling the room with harmonies that spanned generations. You could see the joy shining in Betty’s eyes as she sat surrounded by her family, hands held and smiles shared. These are the moments that become treasured memories. Simple, precious, unforgettable.
How wonderful it is to see family come together like this. Family is not an important thing, it’s everything ❤️

We had such a lovely morning baking and decorating cupcakes together. The room was filled with sweet smells, laughter, and treasured memories as some of our residents reconnected with something many of them loved when they were younger, baking.
As part of our Montessori inspired project, it was wonderful to see everyone so engaged, creative, and proud of their beautiful creations. The best part was sitting down afterwards with a nice cuppa and enjoying our homemade treats together. Simple moments, truly special 💛 🧁

What a fantastic Pancake Day we’ve had at Mundy House!
The kitchen was filled with laughter and the smell of freshly made pancakes as everyone enjoyed choosing from a delicious variety of their favourite toppings from classic lemon and sugar to chocolate spread, fresh fruit, syrup, and more! There was something for everyone, and it was lovely to see so many smiles around the table.
Some of our residents and staff even had a go at flipping the pancakes themselves. With plenty of cheers and a few giggles along the way! It truly was a great day full of fun, togetherness, and sweet treats 🥞😋

What an absolutely fantastic way to start the week at Mundy House!
The energy this morning was simply incredible. The room was filled with music, laughter, and so many smiling faces. We are extremely grateful to welcome Together In Musical Expression - TIME to entertain us, and what a performance it was! The interaction, enthusiasm, and musical talent on display from both our residents and staff was truly heartwarming.
It was especially wonderful to see families, professionals, and our whole Mundy House community getting involved. Singing along, clapping, dancing, and sharing such joyful moments together. The atmosphere was electric and full of positivity from start to finish.
Entertainment like this does so much more than brighten our day. It enhances our residents’ quality of life, encourages connection, and creates meaningful memories. At Mundy House, we are fully committed to providing experiences that bring purpose, passion, and happiness to those in our care ❤️👏
We can’t wait to welcome you back again soon!

This video is part of our Care Home Education Series.
In our previous episode, we demonstrated the safe use of a Full Body Hoist (Passive Mobile Hoist). In this episode, we focus on the Stand Aid Hoist.
This equipment is used to support individuals who are able to take some weight and actively participate in transfers. We demonstrate correct positioning, sling attachment, communication, and safe moving and handling techniques.
The aim of this video is to support learning and awareness for care staff in a care home setting.
This demonstration is for educational purposes only and does not replace formal training or competency assessments. Always follow your organisation’s policies, training, risk assessments, and individual care plans.
