We spent some lovely time in our garden with our residents. The weather was nice, so we all sat together, had a cup of tea, some sweets, and just enjoyed a peaceful moment outside.
There were small talks, a few jokes, and lots of smiles. Everyone was relaxed and happy, just enjoying being together. These are the kind of simple moments that really matter in our home.
After some time, we gently asked our 100+ year strong resident Maisie if she would like to sing a song. At first, she smiled and slowly started singing… and then something beautiful happened. One by one, other residents joined in. It turned into a group moment full of laughter, singing, and togetherness. It wasn’t planned, but it became a very special memory for all of us.
This is what we believe in not just care, but making sure our residents feel happy, comfortable, and truly at home. Being there with them, sharing these moments, means everything.
A big thank you to Natasha Dark for organising this lovely time and Lynda Shannon for leading and supporting our residents throughout. We are always with them, every day, in every moment ☕️🌸❤️

Our first FANS evening of the year was truly magical and filled with so much love, laughter, and happiness. There is something so special about seeing residents and their families together, spending precious time with their loved ones and creating memories that will be cherished forever. Moments like these remind us just how important togetherness really is.
The room was alive with joy as everyone sang their hearts out, danced with big smiles, and simply enjoyed being in the moment with one another. It was heartwarming to see so many happy faces and the love shared all around the room.
A huge thank you to our deputy manager, Natasha for organising such a fantastic and memorable evening for everyone. Your hard work made it so special. And a big thank you to Kaytie for coming to perform for us and bringing such wonderful energy, music, and fun to the night. We are already looking forward to the next one ❤️

Some of our residents had a truly lovely time this morning enjoying a gentle stroll through the garden, taking in the beauty of our stunning blossoming tree
With the sunshine on their faces and the fresh air all around, it was a peaceful and uplifting moment for everyone. One resident shared, “It feels so good to be outside, enjoying the fresh air with the sun on our skin,” a simple reminder of how meaningful these moments can be.
Days like this bring a sense of calm, happiness, and connection with nature, and it’s always so special to see our residents enjoying the little things that mean so much 🌸🥰

What an incredible and truly inspiring moment for us all at Mundy House as we celebrated John turning 102 years young.
John’s story is nothing short of remarkable. A lifetime filled with history, experiences, and memories that many of us can only imagine. Reaching such an amazing milestone is so special in itself, but to see his story recognised and published in our local Evening Echo makes it even more meaningful. It’s a wonderful way to honour his journey and share it with the wider community.
Moments like this remind us just how important it is to celebrate every chapter of life and to treasure the stories that shape who we are.
We feel incredibly proud and privileged to be part of John’s journey and to share in such a memorable occasion.
A very special thank you to Sophie England for capturing this beautiful moment so perfectly. Something we will truly treasure for years to come ✨🎉💙

What a wonderful afternoon we had at Mundy House with our Easter egg hunt. The garden was filled with smiles, laughter, and excitement as residents enjoyed searching high and low for their Easter treats. It was such a joy to see everyone getting involved, sharing in the fun, and creating happy memories together. Moments like these remind us that it’s often the simplest things. Fresh air, laughter, and a little bit of chocolate that bring the most happiness, and there’s nothing better than enjoying it all together.
A huge thank you to Lynda and Aimee for organising such a lovely afternoon. Your hard work and thoughtfulness made it truly special for everyone 🐣🐰🍫

Our walking club is truly something special. A place where determination, resilience, and support come together in the most inspiring way. It’s incredible to see everyone show up, keep going, and push themselves, no matter the pace or the challenges they’re facing. Every single step taken is something to be proud of.
What makes it even more amazing is the dedication of our staff. Their encouragement, patience, and genuine care never go unnoticed. They go above and beyond to support everyone, creating a safe, positive space where people feel empowered to try, grow, and believe in themselves. The impact they have on building confidence and promoting independence is so important, and it’s something we’re incredibly grateful for.
There’s so much strength in simply keeping moving, even on the hard days. This isn’t just about walking. It’s about progress, connection, and becoming stronger both physically and mentally. Watching that journey unfold is honestly amazing 🧡🚶♂️🚶♀️👣

It was an incredibly uplifting and inspiring day at Mundy House as we welcomed the Church of Christ, a wonderful organisation, who joined us to host a truly special charity event.
From the moment they arrived, there was a real sense of warmth, kindness, and togetherness throughout the home. Their generosity and willingness to give their time so selflessly created such a positive and vibrant atmosphere. Not just for our residents, but for our staff too.
The impact was clear to see. Residents were smiling, laughing, and fully engaged, bringing a beautiful energy into the home that lifted everyone’s spirits. Staff also felt that positivity, with the day reminding us all of the power of community and connection.
It was more than just an event, it was people coming together with genuine compassion, showing how small acts of kindness can make such a meaningful difference. A truly fantastic day that will be remembered for all the right reasons 🙌 ♥️
