Joshua, we truly love and appreciate you taking the time to drop by and be such a valued part of our Mundy House family. From our window, the lake lies wrapped in snow, a wide, quiet expanse of white that breathes calm into the room. The frozen surface is softened by winter’s touch, reflecting pale light and endless stillness. Frost-lined trees stand along the shore, their silhouettes peaceful against the snowy horizon. The world beyond the glass feels paused, serene, and beautifully untouched ❄️

We are proud to share highlights from our Staff Recognition Event 2025 at Mundy House, held just before Christmas.
This special day was all about saying thank you
Thank you to our staff for their hard work, kindness, and dedication; Thank you to our residents and families for being part of our Mundy House family and
Thank you to our community partners who support us every day.
We were honoured to welcome Councillor Allan Davies, Mayor of Basildon, along with guests from Essex County Council and our local healthcare teams. Their presence and kind words meant a great deal to our staff and residents.
Some of our awards, including Ancillary Staff, Care Staff, and Staff of the Year, were chosen through a staff poll, allowing colleagues to recognise and celebrate one another. We also took time to honour long-serving staff who have dedicated many years to Mundy House, and to
thank our residents with a small gesture of appreciation for the warmth and community spirit they bring every day.
The atmosphere was warm, emotional, and full of pride. This event reminded us that care is about people, teamwork, and compassion and we are incredibly proud of the home and community we have built together.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this day so special.

Happy Birthday to the wonderful Edith and Barbara! Edith spent her special day relaxing and enjoying quality time with family, while Barbara celebrated with a delicious meal at a lovely French restaurant with her family. After a full and joyful Christmas, Boxing Day began in the most peaceful way. A beautiful massage by the lovely Louise set the tone for a calm, restorative morning, allowing us to truly switch off and enjoy the stillness. Time slowed, the atmosphere was soothing, and the focus was simply on rest, comfort, and being present. A gentle, nourishing start to the day and a reminder of how good it feels to pause and take care of ourselves. ✨💆‍♀️🌿

Christmas at Mundy House has been truly special. We’ve been so grateful to spend time with the people who mean the most to us. Sharing laughter, going out with family, opening thoughtful gifts, and coming together to enjoy a delicious Christmas Day lunch that was loved by everyone.
We want to say a huge and heartfelt thank you to our amazing chef, Amanda, our wonderful kitchen team, Jeanette and Nisla and all staff who worked today for the care, effort, and love they put into creating such a beautiful meal. It made the day even more meaningful.
Moments like these remind us how lucky we are for each other, for the warmth of togetherness, and for the simple joys that make life so special. We hope Christmas has been just as joyful and full of love for everyone.
