Self-Injury Awareness Day 💛

March 1st is a reminder to break the silence and challenge stigma around self-injury. It’s often a way of coping with overwhelming emotions, pain, or the feeling of being unable to express what’s inside.

Self-harming is closely linked to mental health, through anxiety, depression, trauma, and feelings of isolation. It comes from a place that needs understanding, not judgement.

If you’re struggling, please remember: you are not alone. There are people who care and want to support you.

23/02/2026

Eating Disorders Awareness Week is a vital opportunity to shine a light on the reality of eating disorders and the profound impact they have on mental health.

An estimated 1.25 million people in the UK are living with an eating disorder — but behind that number are real people: friends, family members, colleagues, and loved ones. Eating disorders are serious mental health conditions, not lifestyle choices. They can affect anyone, of any age, gender, background, or body type.

The mental health impact can be overwhelming. Many people living with eating disorders also experience anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, isolation, and feelings of shame. Early support and compassionate conversations can make a life-changing difference.

This week, let’s:
• Challenge stigma and misconceptions
• Encourage open conversations about mental health
• Share trusted resources
• Remind those who are struggling that they are not alone

If you or someone you know needs support, help is available. For more information, please visit this link - https://www.mind.org.uk/information-support/types-of-mental-health-problems/eating-problems/treatment-and-support/

Together, we can raise awareness, promote understanding, and support recovery. 💙
