Anxiety cycle
We know this don’t we ?
Children this time of the year will also feel overwhelmed with everything. So try to make some time to be present in their day.
Ask them if they want to share anything that maybe under the surface bubbling away. That they want to share with you.
The triggers this time of the year may be insignificant to you but huge to your child. Give them the grace they need to become calmer.

Be curious first,offer a safe talking space for them to feel seen.
Be present being there with active listening not trying to talk or fix the problem yet.
Be offering a regular set time to release anything or to just connect with you.
Valid their feelings
Ask them what they need in the moment
Offer to help them or
Offer to hold them or do they need to feel heard ?
This is your big part 👂👂LISTEN
That’s it.
When they hear what they are saying out aloud they can begin to work through the issue. This helps to build their self awareness in a situation. They get a chance to try to see the problem/ issue.
By connecting with you in the desired way, a good outcome will be achieved.
Physical Connection builds feelings of safety.
Feeling safe brings calm to the body and brain and then focus can return.

Self esteem is being built when this approach is used.

Share your calm when they struggle to be.

How can you support them?
Keep looking out for clues and signs of anxiety creeping in.
Offer your present 💝 self.


Connect with them
Validate their feelings
Offer to hear them out
Offer to hug them it’s ok if they don’t want that then
Offer to help them by calming their thoughts with some easy breathing techniques. ( have a few in your arsenal) or just offer a silent hug and breathe through it together.
Then let them think about what they need in that moment.

Building their self awareness and boosting their self-esteem. Feeling more positive about themselves.

What was your year’s top 5 Genres ?

I absolutely love all genres of music.
I have another 20 genres to choose from and more.
If someone judged me on these, would it have any impact on how I felt about myself ?
No. I know I have varied musical tastes and that’s something that I’m happy with.
I’m not predictable when it comes to music. Although I like to have some predictability in my life. I try to stay open minded with music.

I’m more than these top 5 genres
And what’s not predictable is what genres I will enjoy in the next year.

Staying open to discovering New is exciting and soul full ! 🫶

Relax with Jo - Relax Kids

Being a Relax Kids coach enables me to promote relaxation for your child. Our children have so many worries from their own emotions and our very busy lifestyles. Using Relaxkids 7 steps I'm aiming to lead them onto good self-care with increased self-confidence which builds to stronger resilience. Healthy positive thoughts and a healthy lifestyle can help them to have a calmer mind. Children need a clearer understanding of their emotions and how they play a huge part in our everyday lives. Changing negative thoughts is on every class and course that I run. One of my chill skills courses will help them to have more knowledge as to why we respond and react the way we do. Our feelings and our unhelpful thoughts can be so damaging and they get in the way of us having a go or being the best we can be. with simple steps to follow the children can easily switch things around as they become more confident.

WHAT WILL A RELAX KIDS CLASS OFFER MY CHILD?

I will give children a great opportunity to thrive and be the best they can be through joining the courses. Relaxation is key to a good self-care routine, introducing and promoting mental health for our children. Relax kids offers audio visualisations and various books/journals for them to take ownership of. Relaxing THEIR way, when THEY need to, with regular use of the techniques. Emotional intelligence is one of the key factors in their resilience. Mental Health is part of us all so we should not ignore the fact that we all need some guidance in areas that we can support. Self-belief can really help your child to have good strong positive thoughts leading to better positive confidence in who they are and not what they think they should be. The classes I would say that after three half terms and your child is on the right road to good all-round self-care self-belief and inner calm. The courses are designed as a one-off course maybe per ever other school year or dependent on how much your child needs some support. They can return to any class at anytime my community classes are there for all the children every 5 weeks of the School term. All clades and courses are discounted for recommendations and siblings attending and if you booked 2 blocks of 5 weeks community classes or chill skills classes, * This doesn't apply to Chill Skills 1-2-1 private bespoke coaching courses.
