Physical Health supports our Mental Health.
We know this right !
What helps to lift you or your child’s mood the quickest or with ease?
Have you got a go to crib sheet with a few reminders written on.
Have you got what you need to help lift you and your child’s mood ?
You can achieve better outcomes and be ready to guide, connect and enjoy doing more together.
Try making a crib sheet with some ideas on. Empowering them to know what they can do when they feel low or blue. How just by doing any type of movement, that it can spark up our mood and help shift any stuck emotions. Making us feel lighter.

Separation Anxiety is a nervous system responding to fear, not logic.please take a look on The amazing TCCWC

Separation anxiety isn’t clinginess.
It isn’t manipulation.
And it isn’t a child being “difficult”.

It’s a nervous system responding to fear — not logic.
When a child struggles to separate, their body is asking for safety, not pressure.

This post breaks down what separation anxiety really is, why it feels so big for children, and what actually helps.

More posts coming on supporting separation anxiety — including what to say in the moment, how to handle drop-offs, and how to build confidence without forcing independence.
Follow along and save this series for when separation feels hard.

🛡️ Many of us grew up in environments where big feelings were met with shame, punishment, or dismissal To stay connected to the adults we depended on, we learned to push down our sadness, anger, and fear as a form of self-protection.

⚠️ When our own children express those same emotions, it can quietly activate that younger part of us 👶💭. Their feelings don’t just belong to them — they stir old patterns in our nervous system Without realizing it, we may shift into protection mode, not because our child is unsafe, but because we feel unsafe with the discomfort those emotions bring.

In those moments, the urge to shut the feelings down, fix them quickly, or make them stop isn’t a parenting failure — it’s a survival response learned long ago. Awareness gives us the chance to pause ⏸️, soften 🌱, and respond with the safety and attunement we may not have received ourselves 💛.

Relax with Jo - Relax Kids

Being a Relax Kids coach enables me to promote relaxation for your child. Our children have so many worries from their own emotions and our very busy lifestyles. Using Relaxkids 7 steps I'm aiming to lead them onto good self-care with increased self-confidence which builds to stronger resilience. Healthy positive thoughts and a healthy lifestyle can help them to have a calmer mind. Children need a clearer understanding of their emotions and how they play a huge part in our everyday lives. Changing negative thoughts is on every class and course that I run. One of my chill skills courses will help them to have more knowledge as to why we respond and react the way we do. Our feelings and our unhelpful thoughts can be so damaging and they get in the way of us having a go or being the best we can be. with simple steps to follow the children can easily switch things around as they become more confident.

June 2020 revised update for my Coaching.

WHAT WILL A RELAX KIDS CLASS OFFER MY CHILD?

I will give children a great opportunity to thrive and be the best they can be through joining the courses. Relaxation is key to a good self-care routine, introducing and promoting mental health for our children. Relax kids offers audio visualisations and various books/journals for them to take ownership of. Relaxing THEIR way, when THEY need to, with regular use of the techniques. Emotional intelligence is one of the key factors in their resilience. Mental Health is part of us all so we should not ignore the fact that we all need some guidance in areas that we can support. Self-belief can really help your child to have good strong positive thoughts leading to better positive confidence in who they are and not what they think they should be. The classes I would say that after three half terms and your child is on the right road to good all-round self-care self-belief and inner calm. The courses are designed as a one-off course maybe per ever other school year or dependent on how much your child needs some support. They can return to any class at anytime my community classes are there for all the children every 5 weeks of the School term. All clades and courses are discounted for recommendations and siblings attending and if you booked 2 blocks of 5 weeks community classes or chill skills classes, * This doesn't apply to Chill Skills 1-2-1 private bespoke coaching courses.
