THE ROLE OF EXERCISE IN CARDIOVASCULAR HEALTH: HOW MUCH IS ENOUGH? - new blog post www.drbart.co.uk/blog

One of the questions answered below and way more interesting data in the new BLOG Post ⬇️.

https://drbart.co.uk/the-role-of-exercise-in-cardiovascular-health-how-much-is-enough/

Is EXERCISING in the MORNING better for Your Heart?

– The answer is YES, according to a study published in November 2022 in the European Journal of Preventive Cardiology. (https://academic.oup.com/eurjpc/advance-article/doi/10.1093/eurjpc/zwac239/6814439)

– Study participants who were physically active in late morning had 16% lower risk of coronary artery disease (HR: 0.84, 95%CI: 0.77, 0.92) and 17% lower risk of stroke (HR: 0.83, 95%CI: 0.70, 0.98) in comparison to individuals who were physically active at midday.

– Interestingly these effects were more pronounced in female participants.

– It was a large trial, which included 86657 individuals with mean age of 61.6, mean BMI of 26.6 and 58% females.

– The follow up lasted for 6 years and 3707 cardiovascular events were noted.

– The researchers concluded:

‘Irrespective of total physical activity, morning physical activity was associated with lower risks of incident cardiovascular diseases, highlighting the potential importance of chronoactivity in CVD prevention.’

How to manage breathing difficulties when You have Heart🫀Disease?

More details ➡️ https://drbart.co.uk/how-to-manage-breathing-difficulties-when-you-have-heart-disease/

Techniques To Improve Breathing In Heart Patients
Improving breathing in heart patients involves a multifaceted approach that includes both medical interventions and self-care techniques. First, medical treatments aim to address the underlying causes of the breathing difficulties. For instance diuretics help with fluid retention, beta-blockers and ACE-inhibitors improve the function of the pumping chambers or vasodilators to enhance coronary blood flow.
An European Society of Cardiology Guideline published in 2021, describes in details all the medications and strategies that can be used in diagnosis and treatment of both chronic and acute heart failure patients. (https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/ejhf.2333)
To diagnose or exclude heart failure a test called Echocardiogram is used, which is described in details in one of our videos. https://drbart.co.uk/videos/
Apart from medications, physical interventions such as breathing exercises and cardiac rehabilitation are also helpful.
