1.1 million working adults in the UK are caring for someone with cancer. They’re balancing their job with an average of 16 hours a week providing emotional, medical, and practical care. On average, they take 6.5 days off per month to manage it all.

Fascinating article from Protection Reporter and Morgan Ash on customer vunerability, particularly caregiving responsibilities. This is a issue that our teams see frequently when helping those with a cancer diagnosis. The burden is high, especially the challenge of juggling work and care - the right navigation at the right time can really help make a meaningful difference.

According to the latest vulnerable customer data from MorganAsh, the most frequently reported life events amongst vulnerable customers are bereavement, divorce or separation, and caregiving responsibilities.

Thanks to the I Paper for shining a light on the challenges faced by those who continue to work with a cancer diagnosis, particuarly the lack of support structure and HR department preparedness.
