I'm so pleased I have to walk my dog everyday as it makes me get out and do some activity, but if you don't have a dog, or much time to fit in activity you could sneak activity ‘snacks’ into your routine to get the health and weight loss benefits without needing an extra hour in the day. Wall sits while you watch TV, marching 🚶🏽‍♀️ while you wait for the kettle to boil, climbing the stairs while waiting for toast to pop… How do you sneak that little bit of extra activity into your day 💪🏼? Have you heard about our Slimming World on referral scheme? We are working closely with Hampshire council, the GPs and Gloji to support members of the community to lose weight and offer a 12 week FREE membership to anyone who meets the criteria. If you'd like to know more please get in touch. It's never too late to make the changes and get the results you want.

Here is Jen's story. Can you relate?

“As a teenager I fell in love with sailing, however as I got older, finding time to be active was more difficult. Extra pounds slowly crept on and eventually my GP suggested a referral to Slimming World (not realising that I’d already tried it twice before!) Both times, I hadn’t fully committed, had stopped going to group and had regained the weight I’d lost.

I was unsure if I would find the resolved to stick with it, but I needn’t have worried. The support of the Consultant and the other members was exactly what I needed in my life at the time, people who believed in me more than I believed in myself. There were ups and downs on my journey, but I found a new determination to see it through.

When I lost over 5st and hit my target weight, I no longer needed painkillers for my arthritis and everything felt easier. I’ve overhauled my health, energy and fitness levels, and rediscovered my passion for sailing!”
