I have always been interested in seasonal changes and the 1st–2nd of February marks Imbolc. This is an ancient seasonal festival that sits halfway between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox.
Imbolc represents light returning, renewal, and new beginnings.
It’s a time associated with the first signs of life – snowdrops pushing through frozen ground, which always make me smile, and the return of longer days.
This marking of the seasons isn’t about making dramatic changes, its about noticing what’s beginning to stir and offering it warmth, care, and patience.
✨ How might Imbolc show up in your world right now?
• A small intention rather than a big goal
• Creating space instead of adding more
• Rest, nourishment, and gentle movement
• Listening to your body before pushing ahead
I like to see wellbeing as cyclical – there are seasons for rest, seasons for growth, and seasons that sit softly in between.
Imbolc reminds us that beginnings can be quiet, slow, and deeply meaningful 🤍
