I have always been interested in seasonal changes and the 1st–2nd of February marks Imbolc. This is an ancient seasonal festival that sits halfway between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox.

Imbolc represents light returning, renewal, and new beginnings.
It’s a time associated with the first signs of life – snowdrops pushing through frozen ground, which always make me smile, and the return of longer days.

This marking of the seasons isn’t about making dramatic changes, its about noticing what’s beginning to stir and offering it warmth, care, and patience.

✨ How might Imbolc show up in your world right now?
• A small intention rather than a big goal
• Creating space instead of adding more
• Rest, nourishment, and gentle movement
• Listening to your body before pushing ahead

I like to see wellbeing as cyclical – there are seasons for rest, seasons for growth, and seasons that sit softly in between.

Imbolc reminds us that beginnings can be quiet, slow, and deeply meaningful 🤍

I really enjoyed delivering a 2 hr Aroma Yoga session for Vita Skin Spa yesterday, as part of their Present Moment Retreat day.

It was lovely to see so many of my yogis past and present there. 🙏

I didn't take many pictures as too busy running the session. 🤦🏼‍♀️

More retreats coming soon!

The Present Moment Retreat – this Saturday

At this point in January, many of us feel the pace of the year picking up.
This one-day retreat is an invitation to step back - not because anything is wrong, but because pausing has value in itself.

The Present Moment Retreat is a full-day experience at Vita Skin Spa, combining spa-based relaxation with therapeutic Aroma Yoga and guided rest.

🌿 What the day includes:
– Hot stone back massage & express facial
– Infrared sauna & relaxation space
– A two-hour Aroma Yoga session led by me, with slow movement, grounding breathwork, aromatherapy rituals & Yoga Nidra
– Nourishing vegan lunch
– Restorative sound bath & closing circle

This retreat is for anyone who would value time away from routine — whether you’re feeling busy, tired, or simply aware that the year has started quickly.

✨ A little January check-in ✨

I’ve been a bit quieter on here this month - and if I’m honest, I’ve noticed it and felt a bit guilty about it. I’d got into a lovely rhythm towards the end of last year… and then December did what December does.

Rather than forcing myself straight back into full speed in January, I chose something gentler: easing in slowly, listening to my energy, and letting rest be part of the practice. And that feels very on-brand for yoga and Infinite Harmony, even if social media sometimes tells us otherwise.

Which brings me to Blue Monday…
A quick reminder that it’s largely a marketing invention, not a medical or psychological truth. If today feels hard for you, that matters. And if it doesn’t, that’s valid too. We don’t need a label to tell us how to feel - or a deadline for when we should be “back to normal”.

If you’re craving a pause, a reset, or just some proper space to breathe, there are ways to do that - including The Present Moment Retreat day this Saturday at Vita Skin Spa which I am co-hosting. Its a a full day to step out of the noise, soften the nervous system, move gently, rest deeply, and be held in a calm, supportive space. No fixing. No pushing. Just retreating… so you can return a little more resourced.

Whether you join us this weekend, come to class, or are simply reading this with a cup of tea - I’m really glad you’re here 💗

Here’s to moving into the year in our own time, not anyone else’s.

The start of a new year often comes with pressure to change quickly. To set habits, stick to them, and get it right this time.

But habits do not form through force. They form through repetition, patience, and kindness. Most of all, they form through the courage to begin again when things wobble.

I’ve written a new article about starting the year gently, letting go of overwhelming resolutions, and recognising the quiet bravery it takes to return to supportive habits again and again.

This is an invitation to begin where you are, not where you think you should be.

The days between Christmas and New Year often feel strangely flat.
Not festive anymore. Not ready to begin again.

Energy dips. Motivation fades. The usual rhythm hasn’t quite returned.

I’ve written a new article exploring why this quiet lull is not something to fix, but something to understand. Drawing on yoga philosophy and nervous system wisdom, it looks at why this in-between space is natural, and how softening into it can support rest and clarity.

If you’ve felt low, unmotivated or out of sync during this time, you’re not alone.

As Christmas arrives, I wanted to share a gentle wish with you.

However the day looks for you, whether it’s busy or quiet, joyful or complicated, surrounded by others or spent alone, I hope there are moments of ease woven through it.

May you feel permission to rest when you need to.
To soften expectations.
To step back from the noise if it feels too much.

You don’t have to make this day perfect.
You don’t have to feel any particular way.
Being exactly where you are is enough.

Wishing you warmth, steadiness and moments of calm today.
Thank you for being part of the Infinite Harmony community.
