At Beacroft Referrals Rehabilitation Centre, some of our patients have been hard at work this week continuing their recovery journey. 🐾

From hydrotherapy on the underwater treadmill to targeted physiotherapy, our team supports patients through every stage of rehabilitation. We regularly help dogs recovering from post-operative procedures such as cruciate ligament repairs and TPLO surgery, as well as managing arthritis, and supporting recovery following stem cell therapy or steroid injections.

A big thank you to our referring vets for their continued trust and collaboration in helping us deliver the best possible rehabilitation outcomes for our patients. 💙

Water temperature matters more than you might think in during your dogs sessions🐶💧

The right temperature helps muscles relax, improves circulation, reduces pain, and keeps dogs comfortable and safe during exercise. Too warm or too cold can affect performance, recovery, and even stress levels.
That’s why we keep ours around 31-33 degrees for optimum comfort

⭐️ patients of this week are Lily and Jango! Lily has been with us for many years and has overcome some really difficult struggles, always with a smile on her face. Jango joined us recently for arthritis care and loves to carry his own lead into the clinic. Their owners are incredibly committed and we love seeing them both in clinic.

🐾 Behind the scenes at Beacroft Referrals – Veterinary Rehabilitation Centre 🐾

Here’s a snapshot of some of our patients receiving a range of advanced rehabilitation treatments, including:
💧 Water treadmill & hydrotherapy
🤸 Physiotherapy
❄️ Cryotherapy
🔦 Laser therapy

Many of these patients are recovering from surgery such as elbow arthroscopy, undergoing regenerative medicine procedures including stem cell therapy, or being managed conservatively for cruciate injuries and arthritis.

Rehabilitation with us is never just a single treatment. Each patient receives:

✔️ Close collaboration with referring veterinary surgeons to ensure appropriate analgesia

🌟 patient of this week has got to be Terry. Terry joined us a while ago following an elbow dysplasia diagnosis, and underwent an intensive underwater treadmill programme. He is now on a maintenance schedule to keep up the muscle mass he built up on the treadmill, and very much enjoys his pool sessions - with his swim cap on of course! Last week he came in for a swim on his 2nd birthday!
