⭐️ patient of last week goes to Luna! Luna is the tiniest sausage who underwent spinal surgery at after she suffered IVDD. Her owners have been very dedicated with her rehabilitation and today she did her first treadmill session, which she absolutely aced. Well done Luna!

🌟 patient of this week is Axl.
Axl’s been a patient with us for a number of years, and last week he celebrated his 10th birthday with a session on the underwater treadmill. A big softie with a lot to say for himself, he’s very well loved.

⭐ patient of this week is Zander! An assistance dog who specialises in puppy dog eyes! Zander was referred for forelimb lameness and has been having physio and underwater treadmill. He’s doing so well but does require pigs in blankets as payment for his hard work.

Kitty has been referred from the lovely team at Anderson moores following spinal surgery.
Kitty is making fantastic progress and is super relaxed for the treatment sessions. Physiotherapy treatments will aim to improve Kitty’s proprioception, strength, coordination and normalise muscle tone. This will allow Kitty to optimise her recovery.

Lenny has been undertaking regular hydrotherapy, following his cruciate surgery at Fitzpatricks referrals.

Maintenance hydrotherapy sessions help Lenny maintain his joint range of motion, improve his muscle mass whilst having the best time 💦 in the pool 🐾

This week we had the pleasure of having the lovely Leanna with us from the University of Nottingham studying veterinary medicine. She came to us for placement for a week to learn more about what we can offer with physiotherapy and hydrotherapy, many of you would've met her this week and we are sure you'll all agree how super she was to have in the clinic with her super smiley face!! Rodney really appreciated the extra attention today 🥰

We will really miss her and wish her the very best with the rest of her studies to become a vet 🐾 thank you for all your help Leanna!

Today we waved goodbye to Puzzle! She is a very lucky girl who is moving to Cornwall on Monday. Dearest Puzzle is a much loved dog not only by her owners but us too - often there is an argument of whether James or Alice will see her 😂 she has been coming to see us for almost 6 years (since she was just 1!) after she had surgery for elbow dysplasia

Although Puzzle has fully recovered her owners have continued maintenance treatment for her for all this time, we think it helps that she absolutely LOVES to swim!! We do get attached and love our patients, and when they have been coming for this long we form friendships along the way. We will SO miss her and her lovely owners but we know she is going to have the best time living her best life where she can swim in the sea as much as she likes 🌊

As sad as it is to wave her off to her new adventure, there is a huge sense of pride that she can go off and live life to the max happy and pain free 🫶🏻

Lola came in to see us today for a water treadmill de sensitiation session. She can be an anxious girl in new situations but with some gentle handling and lots of yummy treats (mainly sausage!) We were able to assure her everything is fine and she settled really nicely

Her owners have been extra careful with her in the early stages post op, and even invested in a buggy for her so she can still go out without walking very far

She is 6 weeks post TPLO surgery performed by at and is doing remarkably well. We are really impressed with her recovery and await her follow up imaging to be performed so she can progress to the next stages of her rehabilitation

🌙 Luna 🌙

This wonderful girl is an Old English Sheepdog - a breed that you really don't see many of. She had her cruciate ligament repaired at 4 weeks ago and kindly referred to us by her local vets

She thoroughly enjoyed her assessment this morning and after her exercises spent a lot of time laid on her back wanting tummy rubs, she really did take it all in her stride. Plus, she loves a pose for the camera!! We are thrilled to be helping this lovely girl return back to normal function 🩷
