Many of our adventures on the road around the world involve driving back to a hotel/location to pick up Barbara’s knitting for her grandkids that she’s left behind. These trips often feature me belting out my favorite worship songs and pleading with my husband to stop for any organic food we happen to pass along the way. Singing helps boost the mood 😊

Our marriage has endured the roughest seasons - the darkest, messiest times.
Moments when the pain feels unbearable, when love feels like the furthest thing from reach.

How do you forgive what feels unforgivable?
How do you choose love when your heart wants to shut down?

It’s a choice.
Not an easy one. Not a feeling.
A choice.

Jesus was whipped, tortured, mocked, and crucified in the most brutal, unimaginable way.
And yet, in His final moments, He spoke words that still echo through eternity:
“Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.”
That kind of love - that kind of forgiveness -
is not natural. It’s divine.
And it’s the only reason we’re still standing.

We don’t have all the answers. We still carry many scars.
But we’re learning to look to Jesus - not just for forgiveness, but for healing.
One step at a time.
One surrendered moment at a time.

He meets us in the pain.
He walks with us through the brokenness.
And slowly, gently, He makes beauty from the ashes.
