In our FitMama™️ Pregnancy class this week, I taped up this lovely mummy who has been suffering with abdominal pain from Diastasis Recti. As baby grows and the muscles take strain, sometimes tearing can occur, creating discomfort or pain and anxiety. Kinesiology tape is a really helpful tool to create support for the weakened abdominal wall and can give temporary relief by creating a false wall of support that you can shower or bath in for up to three days a time. Always remove carefully with oil while submerged in water to protect your skin and are sure you are not allergic to the tape before use. Reapply after a few hours break or longer if your skin needs a rest. I charge £20 for a bump tape coaching session. So you can learn how to self apply 💛

It’s so hard when you’re a new mum and the exhaustion feels unbelievable! Everything changes when baby arrives and, even though you’re overjoyed, sometimes, you might wonder what you’ve done! It’s normal to feel that way, and helpful to meet other mums and share how you feel. The best mantra for motherhood’s challenges is to remember the tough times will pass. There may be many, but it will get better. Look after yourself, take it one hour at a time, and ask for help when you are feeling overwhelmed. If you have no one to talk to, I am here to help. Covering all aspects of wellbeing in preparation for motherhood, exercise and weight management. Whether you want private sessions or to join classes with other women, we have a solution for you, to suit your lifestyle and help you achieve your goals. We are the first studio in the UK to offer the revolutionary abdominal sculpting technique called The Hypopresive Method. We use this to aid repair following childbirth, abdominal surgery, prolapse and incontinence. We are also the longest established pregnancy fitness and birthing specialists in the area. Our pregnancy classes are based on The FitMama Method which is published by Souvenir Press and written by Co-Director of this studio, Marie Behenna. Alongside of our specialities, we teach a variety of other cutting edge functional exercise (using Kettlebells, Bulgarian Bags, Powerbags, Battle ropes, TRX bands, ViPR tubes and much more) to enable you to achieve your weight loss and fitness goals in a safe, challenging and effective style after you have completed your initial FitMama journey.
