PAPAKYRIACOU Anna, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at home on Saturday, 13 April 2024, aged 79 years.
Dearly loved and greatly missed by her loving family, friends and all who knew her. Funeral Service to be held at St Gabriel’s Church, Popley, RG24 9DU on Mon 13 May at 1pm. Followed by committal at Worting Road Cemetery at 2.30pm. In loving memory of Russell Johnston who passed away unexpectedly on 7th March at home. He was much-loved by all his family and friends and they are devastated by his loss, he will be sadly missed. Celebrating the life of James George SHOULDER, (Jim), who sadly passed away on 6th February 2024 at Basingstoke Hospital with his loving family by his side. Jim's funeral will take place on Friday 1st March, 1.15pm at Basingstoke Crematorium. In memory of Jim, the family have set up a donation page for Cancer Research UK. Charlotte Lorraine SMITH passed away peacefully at her home in Basingstoke on 4th December 2023 surrounded by her loving family. Charlotte will be remembered and loved as a Mum, Wife, Daughter and Sister. The family have requested that in place of flowers, donations, if desired, are made to Rainbow Unit at Basingstoke Hospital whom cared for Charlotte during her illness. We are pleased to announce that our luxury Christmas hamper was won by Mrs. Kelly Morris of Berrydown Lane in Overton, well done Kelly and hope you enjoy the goodies! The winning ticket was drawn by Steven Randall, Club Secretary, of Overton Youth Football Club. Thank you to everyone that bought tickets to support the club.

We have been selling raffle tickets since the Overton Christmas market on Saturday 25th November, for a luxury Christmas hamper kindly donated by Lorraine Titcombe. All proceeds from the raffle are going to help the Overton Youth Football Club. We would like to thank everyone for the generosity shown and are pleased to announce that we have raised £365. The cheque was presented by Lorraine Titcombe to Club Secretary, Steven Randall, on Monday 18th December, Steven also drew the winning ticket.

Remembering Robert Alan PHILLIPS from Whitchurch, Hampshire, who sadly passed away on 14th November 2023. Robert was much-loved by all his family and will be sorely missed. His funeral service will take place at Basingstoke Crematorium on Thursday 30th November at 2.00pm, all are welcome to come along and celebrate his life. We are looking to recruit a Funeral Service Operative (FSO) to join our small team covering Basingstoke, Overton and Kingsclere. We are a small family owned and run, independent funeral directors, so the right person, that will fit in with the rest of the team, is very important. The ideal applicant will have experience as an FSO but somebody with the right attitude, looking to get on the first run of the ladder, may be considered. The normal working hours are 10.00am to 4.00pm, Monday to Friday, but due to the unpredictability of the industry, you will need to be flexible. In Loving Memory of the late KIM TRACY STEVENS who passed away peacefully on 14th September 2023, at home with her family lovingly by her side, aged just 61 years. She will be greatly missed. One of Kim's passions was the initial training of assistance dogs that went on to help people and families affected by autism. Because of this passion, and in memory of Kim, the family have requested that in place of flowers, donations be made to the charity, Dogs For Autism.
