Just some lovely everyday moments from life in our care home ☀️

A big thank you to Melissa for giving her time each week to visit us with Crumble, the wonderful pet therapy dog 🐾 Everyone really looks forward to seeing them both, they bring so many smiles!

We’ve also been making the most of the sunshine in our beautiful garden 🌸 and today we enjoyed a little trip out for coffee at Honesty Coffee Shop ☕️

What an incredible afternoon celebrating our Multicultural Dance Day on Wednesday! 🌍💃

We were treated to a beautiful Sri Lankan dance, a stunning Oppana performance from the Muslim community and a vibrant Owambe Nigerian dance. Each one brought its own energy, colour and culture to the day.

It was such a fun, uplifting and lively experience, full of smiles, music and togetherness. A big thank you to everyone who took part and made it so special. Moments like this really show the beauty of diversity and community ❤️

We had the amazing and talented Matthew Quilliam playing the ukulele, he had everyone singing along and dancing! The atmosphere was fantastic and we can’t wait to have him back to entertain us again. A big thank you for such a great afternoon! 🎼✨

Now the weather is getting brighter, we’re so happy to be back enjoying our Wednesday morning Walking Club 🌿🚶‍♀️

This week we even treated ourselves to a lovely little trip out to The Greyhound for a well-earned pint 🍻

We feel so lucky to live in such a beautiful area and to be able to enjoy these special moments together ✨

What a fabulous Easter it has been! 🐣🌼

We were so excited to hatch nine beautiful chicks and everyone has had the chance to hold and gently pet them—they’ll be staying with us until Friday, which is just wonderful.

Over the weekend, we enjoyed a fantastic Easter bingo with chocolate eggs as prizes 🍫🐰 and got creative with some lovely Easter arts and crafts.

To top it all off, the Easter Bunny made a special visit this morning, delivering Easter eggs to everyone! 🐇💛

A truly joyful and memorable Easter for all—Happy Easter! 🌸

We’re delighted to share that the children from Overton Primary Nursery will be visiting us every other Thursday! 🧸✨

They’ll be spending time with our residents getting involved in fun activities, sharing smiles, and creating special moments together. 💛

Intergenerational visits like these bring so much joy to everyone involved and we can’t wait to see the lovely friendships that will grow. 🌼

We had a wonderful visit from Hannah at Cuddly Cavies, who brought along her four beautiful guinea pigs 🐹💛

Strawberry, Eva, Fudge and Melon were a huge hit with our residents. Everyone enjoyed stroking them, feeding them and spending some gentle, calming time together.

It was such a lovely afternoon filled with smiles, laughter and lots of cuddles. Thank you so much to Hannah for bringing such joy to us all – we can’t wait to see you again! 💕

We had such a lovely afternoon celebrating St Patrick’s Day ☘️💚

🌼 March has already been full of lovely moments here! 🌼

So far this month we’ve had lots going on. We celebrated St David’s Day with beautiful daffodils – every resident had a bunch in their room and we scattered them around the building. It really made the whole home feel like spring had arrived.

We also had a fantastic sing-along session, with lots of smiles and music filling the room and everyone enjoyed our baking club where we made delicious chocolate cornflake cakes.

Today we are looking forward to welcoming the Overton Primary Nursery children for a visit, which is always a special time for our residents.

With St Patrick’s Day just around the corner, it’s shaping up to be a busy but fun March! ☘️

✨ Chinese New Year Celebrations ✨

We celebrated Chinese New Year in style with a delicious Chinese meal prepared by our amazing chef, Siyani. 🥢🍜

The food was absolutely lovely and enjoyed by everyone, with both residents and staff getting to taste some wonderful Chinese cuisine. It was a great atmosphere and a lovely way for us all to come together and celebrate. 🎉

A big thank you to Siyani for making the day so special! 🧧
