Meet Dr Elizabeth Fairfax, a Private GP who has recently joined Hampshire Clinic in Basingstoke.

Dr Fairfax is an experienced General Practitioner who has been caring for patients across Hampshire since 2012. She studied medicine at Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, where she also completed an intercalated degree in Molecular Medicine. She went on to complete her GP training in Wi******er and holds a Diploma in Child Health.

Dr Fairfax has clinical interests in chronic disease management, women’s health, and menopause management.

Meet Mr Ben Cresswell, a Consultant General Surgeon with a special interest in liver, pancreatic and gallstone disease.

He has a substantial research background in laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery, liver cancer and critical care of diseases relating to the liver and pancreas. This mirrors his main clinical interests of complex gallstone disease, pancreatitis and liver surgery for a range of malignant and benign conditions including bile duct injuries.

He has a further interest in hernia repair, including complex abdominal wall defects and is happy to offer a range of laparoscopic or open operations for these conditions.

Recently, we hosted a successful information morning at Sandford Springs Golf Club. The session featured presentations from orthopaedic consultants Mr Yasen and Mr Rosell about sports injury care, practical tips for injury prevention, and joint-friendly movement. The day was very well received, and attendees shared some wonderful feedback:

“The staff were all genuinely lovely and did everything they could to put me at ease. Everything was well explained and I felt fully informed. The department was clean, organised, and the process ran smoothly. Overall, I felt very well looked after and I’m really grateful for the high standard of care from the entire team.
