It’s been a busy few days at the Winter Regionals. I was delighted to be able to go and support my clients:
First up was Rebecca Walker on her lovely Greystone Prince. This horse has come such a long way after starting life on the race track, he has been retrained and danced round beautifully in the Prelim Silver.
Then it was the turn of Fiona Clarke’s Amazing Romance ridden by Rob Trowbridge in the Medium Gold who skipped their way round to 2nd place!

Joining them in the Meduim Gold was Liz Diegutis Dressage riding Mark Philpotts Total Ecstasy who rode him round beautifully to achieve 3rd place.

Finally it was the turn of Karen Shepherd on her own Szibadano in the PSG and finishing brilliantly in the Gold Inter 1 to secure a well deserved 4th.

It is a privilege to treat these horses and be part of their team and watch everybody achieve their goals.

Well done to team Stan with their success at Winter Championships - so exciting to see clients succeeding!

🤩NATIONALS DAY 2🤩

Yesterday Stan, owner Lissa, and I headed back to Hartpury for our second class at the British Dressage Winter Champs - the Novice Freestyle. Stan wasn’t nearly as relaxed as he was on Monday, and I’d be lying if I said I was thrilled with the test... We’re both capable of much more. But it was good enough for 72% and 3rd place 🥰

If you’d told Team Stan a year ago that his first full season of competition would culminate in top 5 finishes in ALL his classes at both Regional and National level, we would have thought you were having a laugh 😂 Just over 12 months ago I was struggling to steer in a test, so I have to give myself a little shake when I’m disappointed that we weren’t more uphill yesterday 😏

Anyway, I owe a big THANK YOU to everyone on Team Stan - owner Lissa, groom Emma, farrier Tom Smith, physio Ruth Bryant, Donnington Grove Vets, and everyone else who has had a hand in helping us keep Stan on the road for and ENTIRE YEAR 😅 He has had a few self harm attempts along the way, but quick action from all the above has meant we’ve (touch wood) thwarted his efforts thus far. There are a few people who will know I’m not lying when I say he’s “not the easiest” to deal with 😂 but despite the bruises, pulled muscles and squished toes, I’m really excited to start our campaign at Medium soon 🤩 In the meantime, Stan’s having a well earned break in the field with his Shetland, goats, chickens and ducks 😍😆
