CHILD's Trust exists to make a difference in the lives of underprivileged children in both India and Bangladesh. This has been our purpose for existence since we started in 1999 and is at the core of everything we do. For some children we have had a major impact in improving their nutrition and diet whilst for others it is providing basic medical facilities. Education and spiritual welfare play a vital part along with the right to live in comfortable accommodation. Twitter Page: https://twitter.com/childstrust

Day 5 Mudeford – Lymington

Today we had amazing support in walking from Mudeford through to Lymington. There were 12 of us in total; we are so grateful for the encouragement that such a large team brings. Seeing the Iale of Wight and its Needles was awesome. We managed to walk 16 miles in total although the last 8 around the wetlands of Lymington was a bit more than expected. Tomorrow is our last day with the walk through to Beaulieu, just 8/9 miles but a great way to finalise the trip. Thank you so much for all those who have raised funds we are now close to £5,500 and we are so grateful for all the support.

Walking with Dinosaurs

Day 4 – Sandbanks to Mudeford

Today we had the privilege of walking on the flat rather than the giant hills of Dorset and compared to the knee bending braking of Durdle Door, this was so much easier. We did more walking than we have done in the past two days yet finished in ample time to enjoy the gentle ferry to Mudeford before it closed for the day. Walking back a few miles would not have been a great idea! Some of our team has joined up with the local Paparazzi to capture me, attempting to ride a scooter enroute, they have been banned from tomorrow’s walk and asked to donate a large fee to a great charity!! However, the photograph is included for you to judge.

Thank you for all your support, we have now reached over £4,500 but we still need more.

Walking with Dinosaurs

Day 3 smashed in record time! We are definitely getting into the groove and managed to get through the day in better time than expected.

Along with Joe, Mick and Solomon we had Brian with us and his fresh legs helped us get through! We started a few miles outside Swanage and walked along Shell Bay in the warmth of the early evening sunshine. A real privilege to be walking for such a great cause.

Please help us if you can!

Day 2 in the bag!

We started early to avoid the afternoon sun and had such a great day. Starting at Kimmeridge Bay (Check out the view in the photo below) walking through to Anvil Point Lighthouse via Chapman’s Pool and Dancing Ledge. We did not do much dancing with sore legs, but the views were awesome.

Plenty of room for you to join us as we walk through Swanage and Shell Bay tomorrow. Thank you for the amazing support: www.childstrust.org.uk/walk

Walking with Dinosaurs

Day 1 completed with no one left on the cliffs! Joe, Mick and Solomon joined me for an amazing day walking along the Jurassic coastline with no bones found except the ones aching by the end of the day. We started at Weymouth, lulled into a false sense of security as we walked through to lunch at Ringstead Bay, reaching there ahead of schedule. We then set off for Durdle Door and eventually Lulworth. I have done a great deal of walking in my time, and this was really hard. Stubbed toes, sore feet, and a little bit of cramp from braking as we walked down the steep slopes. It was a great day: the weather was amazing!

Thank you for all the messages of support, please keep them coming. If you would like more information on the reason for the walk and the fundraising, please take a look at www.childstrust.org.uk/walk

Hope you enjoy the picture of Durdle Door.
