Member Spotlight: Turning Setbacks into Comebacks

2 of our toughest and most inspiring community members. Not too long ago, Adrian suffered a ACL tear and Aditya took a wheelding knife to his hand whilst cooking. It was a major blow – both physically and mentally.

But instead of giving up, they both committed and re-commited to recovery like true champions. With patience, physical therapy, and support from our community, they have been making a powerful comeback with a few slight adjustments to technique and form as some exercises were just impossible.

Injuries are tough — they test more than just the body. They test mindset, patience, and resilience. Adrian and Aditya remind us that recovery is progress, and taking time to heal is a sign of strength, not weakness.

Strength Training: what are some FAQ's from our clients...

What are the benefits?
- increases muscle mass and strength (normally over the age of 30 this will naturally decrease by 3-8% every decade).

- boosts metabolism, fat loss and increases the natural body temperature which helps to process calories better and faster.

- helps with better posture and balance: muscles like the core, glutes, back and shoulders play a big role in keeping your spine upright. Proprioception is the sense that tells your brain about your body's position and this becomes greater when doing strength training, especially in a functional environment.

- reduces muscular imbalance: targeted training or training specific muscle groups addresses overactive and underused muscles (like a tight chest and weak upper back), leading to a more symmetrical posture.

Let's talk resistance bands...

Versatility: they can target almost every muscle group (pictures depicted for upper body)

Joint friendly: they provide controlled tension and low-impact on the joints

Progressive resistance: as you stretch the band further away from the anchor point, the resistance gets harder as they stretch providing a well-rounded; full range of motion exercise.

We've used them this week to regress our training as we lead into our testing week next week.

Client Spotlight: Meet Ash and Gary

As two of our OG clients who started with us at the beginning of the year - they have really come leaps and bounds and have tackled some serious goals.

Both OG's work full-time jobs, have family near and far, and still make time to work on themselves.

They have shown that real progress doesn’t come overnight—it’s built through heart, hustle, and showing up even when it’s hard. Their journeys are a reminder that effort beats excuses, and their results speak volumes.

It’s a thumbs up from the team today. A sweaty workout but ended in smiles!
