‼️ REMINDER: Nutrition is just as much of a journey as your physical training

▫️Knowledge takes time to collate. Understanding the different roles & purpose of each food group is so important. Only when you have that understanding can you actually begin to provide your body with what it needs in that moment.

▫️ Behaviour change. If your eating habits have remained the same for several years, be realistic & don’t expect yourself to switch up overnight. Progress yourself at a suitable pace ☝🏼

▫️Life happens! Our busy schedules, mood & emotions, organisation, mental energy etc. all have a big impact on whether we follow through on our intentions. Managing each of these requires grit & patience.

You don’t go from squatting 20kg to 120kg in 1 training block, so…

It’s the perfect opportunity to create balance and make intuitive choices. Try making your gym sessions slightly shorter and getting that work rate up or maybe opt for some movement outdoors 🌻🏃🏻‍♀️🧘🏽‍♂️⛹🏿‍♀️🏌🏻‍♂️

Just 3 weeks’ difference 🥳

Talisha’s upper body strength has improved, but most importantly she has mastered the posterior pelvic tilt in her push up 👏🏼

This not only keeps her back straighter, but as her upper body strength continues to progress, she will be able to get lower in her push up where her hips aren’t dipping down!

Safe to say that clients have smashed it this week! 💫

I’m so proud of the organisation, focus, and persistence they’ve all had surrounding their training, nutrition, and general daily movement.

Behaviour change requires small and manageable lifestyle changes, but when those changes are done on a long term scale, wow they have an impact 🙌🏼

Although we want to focus on getting our nutritional requirements from food, sometimes we may need a helping hand from supplements.

Protein hack:
Add a small scoop of protein to anything like coffee, matcha, or hot chocolate ☕️

Even those smaller servings mount up across the day to acheive our total intake goal 💪🏼
