At Skin Sister, we have plenty of options to choose from when treating the peri-oral (smokers lines) 📋

This lady was treated with Hot CO2 fractionally ablative laser. Many of you are very interested in this treatment, but are worried about the downtime. Take a swipe- we went ver aggessively here and by day 7, she is only a little pink still.

CO2 is incredible at resurfacing the skin and stimulating the bodies production of its own collagen. We can further increase this collagen growth by introducing biostimulating injections such as JuveLook (another treatment with only ever, natural looking results). Muscle relaxing and dermal fillers are also further options we can explore. As you can see the list of treatment options for peri oral lines is pretty long!

We love Sculptra.
It takes 3-6 months to fully kick in. No one will know what you have done, but they will think you just look… refreshed!

NB Sculptra cannot be injected under the eyes, however we have got a solution! JuveLook is the only PDLLA biostimulator that can be injected around the eyes and mouth.

Pippa explains what those freaky-looking eye shields really are 👀

If you’ve ever considered CO₂ laser treatment for the upper eyelids, you might have seen these intraocular eye shields 👁️

They can look a little intimidating at first glance, but in reality, they’re much more comfortable than you’d expect.

(We only need to use these, when we are treating the upper eyelids/ performing a laser blepharoplasty. As normal goggles can be used when we are doing other areas of the face)

These shields are gently inserted before treatment to protect the eye itself while we work on the delicate eyelid skin.

Safety is always the priority, and this is a key step in ensuring the procedure is both effective and controlled.

Most patients are surprised by how well they tolerate them—and how quick the process is.

So if the idea of eye shields has put you off, hopefully this reassures you: they may look daunting, but they’re a simple, safe, and important part of achieving great results.

We love a little treat for the neck.

The platysma is a large “sheet” muscle that covers the whole neck and jawline. Its natural action is to PULL DOWN. Even when it is not contracted to the extreme seen in the above photo, it still pulls down.

We can relax this; resulting in a lift to the jawline jawline and smoother neck when animating, talking etc.

Long term, this helps with a more defined jawline by preventing the downward action of this large muscle.

🌸 Spring Update! 🌸

We’re excited to introduce Nurse Prescriber Isabel, who will be joining the team this summer as an injector. Over the next few weeks and months she’ll be shadowing us in clinic.

Isabel brings 3 years of aesthetics experience alongside an incredible 21 years of cardiology nursing within the NHS (we’re still not convinced she’s old enough for that either!).

We can’t wait for you to meet her.

✨ More good news: Pippa is a greatly valued team member. Due to popular demand, she is increasing her clinic hours and will now be with us three days per week — Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays (with some Saturdays for a short time).

It’s all about skin treatments in 2025 🙌

• Anti-wrinkle 2-3x yearly- brow lift achieved overtime, because I like movement in my forehead which gives me lift! 🙏

We lose 1% of collagen a year from age 27!

Sculptra is for everyone. It triggers collagen production on a mega scale.

It is an excellent option for those wanting to avoid filler, but that need some collagen and volume restoration.

Collagen = commitment. Rome wasn’t built in a day, and neither is collagen. We can inject 2 vials (in the face) per sitting and suggest that subsequent sessions are booked 6 weeks apart.

NB: you can’t have laser or filler for 6 months after Sculptra 😬 (tox is fine)
