Join us for ThinkMental's first event of the year, taking place right in the middle of Wellbeing Week 2022! We are very excited to be hosted by The Science Gallery on Guys Campus, which has the most calming atmosphere that is just perfect for sitting down with a cup of tea and to take some time out from studying to take care of your wellbeing.

Come with friends or come alone, there is no pressure at all. Hopefully we will have some boardgames and conversation starters for you if you would like to use them, or you can just sit back and enjoy your cup of tea :)

Anyone is welcome to drop in and visit us on the ground floor for however long they would like to stay. Tea and mugs provided!

P.S: If you bring your own keep-cup, you will get an extra tea bag of your choice to enjoy whenever you like!

This event is part of Wellbeing Week which runs from 7 - 11th November and is a week to explore new ways to boost your wellbeing and meet new people.

The Cassel Hospital (NHS) introduced the concept of “therapeutic community” to the world in 1946. Rather than being treated as passively ill, patients are encouraged to take active responsibility for running the hospital and supporting each others’ treatment. In The Cassel Hospital’s centenary year, patients are sharing their unique memories and records with KCL, the Strand Campus, Kings Building, K.18. You’re invited to shape an oral history film and archive resource, co-directed by Emmy-award winning filmmaker Rob Lemkin. Hi everyone 💓

Navigating life with a neurodivergent/long term mental health condition is difficult in day-to-day life, and even more so in employment or when applying for jobs. It goes beyond managing general situational stress and in appreciation of this, we have planned this event to answer your questions re disclosing and managing discrimination in the workplace. We will talk about how and when to disclose, as well as dealing with explicit and implicit discrimination (including not being taken seriously) during the recruitment process and beyond. We will also go over disability rights and reasonable adjustments in the application process and in the job itself. The workshop will be led by the careers services as well as students with neurodivergent/mental health conditions.
