It's cervical cancer awareness week🧍‍♀️...but what is cervical cancer?

👉 It is a cancer found anywhere in a cervix.
👉 It is most common in women aged 30 to 35 (but anyone can get it).
👉 95% of cervical cancers are caused by the HPV Virus - the most common sexually transmitted infection in the world.
👉 Most cases of HPV are temporary and disappear, however if the infection persists, it can develop into cervical cancer if left untreated.

An HPV test is the recommended primary screening test to detect cervical pre-cancer and cancer. It is much more sensitive than a cervical smear.

Prostate Cancer Research recently presented a report considering the socio-economic Impact of Prostate Cancer Screening and evaluating new screening pathways for better detection of prostate cancer.

The additional reflex testing are those such as Stockholm3 and
